Romans 9:17-24 King James Version (KJV)
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Beloved, God created you for a specific purpose. He created you to complete a specific task that He has set for you. A task of honour or a task of dishonour; a task of praise or a task of shame. No matter which one it is, the one created for such a purpose must and will complete it.
Beloved, what I would like you to know is that: the children of God were created for honour and no matter where they find themselves they will be used by God Almighty to complete this task.
The children of God includes all those who have repented and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Personal Saviour. These are those who have believed that Jesus is the Son of God, He died and resurrected on the third day for the salvation of the world.
The children of God are all those who have eternal life: that is, they know and believe in the only true God Almighty and in Jesus Christ who He sent.
Beloved, the others in the world who are not His children, some are for dishonour and some are for honour. Usually their honour is because of the children of God so whatever honour they get would finally satisfy the children of God.
Those who are not children of God never know what they are made for. They have their own thinking but God would use them to complete His tasks according to His will.
For example:
1. Pharaoh was created for dishonour so his heart was hardened by God. God used him to show His power and might. God used him as a vessel of dishonour to show His signs, wonders and miracles.
2. King Cyrus was created for honour so God used him to acquire wealth and made him powerful according to the will of God Almighty.
Beloved, the only way to be sure of honour is to become a child of God. The Bible says, for those that believed in Jesus Christ, He gave them power to become the sons of God.
Don't stay outside the fence, become a child of God and get inside the house. Be part of God's home so you are sure of your purpose of honour. The avenue to be a child of God is open to all Jews and Gentiles alike. This is to say It is opened to the church goers, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Bahai faith, idol worshippers, cultists, atheists etc etc etc.
Beloved Jesus went through all He went through so you could become a child of God and be used for honour by the Father.
*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. If you will come to Him and believe in Him, He will give you the power to become a child of God.
Whatever challenge or trial you go through, you know you are for a specific purpose of honour and that honour lies ahead waiting for you so you will surely come out to enjoy the benefits of the glory of God.
Prayer: Daddy please strengthen me to keep going so I never give despite all the challenges. I am made for honour in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
