Summary: We sometimes wonder if God really does care for us, It's a question that suddenly came to my mind and after giving it a lot of thought I came to the conclusion that God does care for all of us.

With so many things going on in this realm that we live in, there is no doubt in me that we all go through difficult times. So many are sick, have lost a loved one, have no job, are hurting, do not know where the next meal is coming from, many are disappointed in themselves or with their loved ones, many feel betrayed, lost hope, confused, distressed, many have lost their mind because of a situation they went through and the list goes on and on.

We then look at all this conditions and ask ourselves that does God really care for us?

Well this question came to me sometimes ago and I heard God speak to me and He told me what to do. I therefore, believe that God cares for us. God is not a wicked God and He even cares for us more than we care for ourselves. God is Love and Love comes from God according to the scriptures. God is alive and He loves us that much He sent His only begotten Son to die for us all. So God does care.

God is not pleased when things go wrong and He is ever ready to help us. We are his children that He created in His own image and likeness, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, we are chosen by God to belong to Him, we are blessed by God, He made a way back to Him through the death of His Son, God bought us with a high price, He created us out of love and He can do it all over again if He has to. But He as already given us the gift of His Son and that is the best gift ever. Jesus laid down his life for our freedom and asks us to just believe in Him.

There are lots of scriptures to confirm to us that our Father does care.

Matthew 11: 25 - 30

At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus wants to give us true rest in Him, He said we are to come to him with our problems and He promised to give us rest but if we do not go to him, how can we receive his rest? He is a caring God that wants us to be in peace.

John 14: 26 27

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus said two things here, He promised us His help from the Holy Spirit and his peace that cannot be compared to this world's peace.

Philippians 4: 6 - 7 records this

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

And in the amplified

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

God actually wants us to come to him with our specific requests and reading this confirms to us that he does not want us to be in any kind of stress in any situation. And this is who God is. A Father that says He cares for us more than the birds if the air.

Matthew 10: 27 - 33

Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Jesus says we are not to be afraid of any situation or people that come against us. He even says here that the hairs on our head are all numbered, this is saying I know everything about you, and that we are more important to him than the birds that we see everyday.

God does care!

Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;

Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

1 John 4:16

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

There are lots of scriptures that proves to us that we have a Father that loves and cares for us. Can a Father ever leave his children to be in need and not provide for them? I personally find that hard to believe. If God created us to be his children and even made his Son to suffer on our behalf, would not this same God see to it that he helps us in our time of need? If we ask him to? The book of Psalm 121:2 says that my help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth.

Jesus said this in Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Another translation puts it this way

Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.

Jesus is saying we are to keep on asking, keep seeking and continue to knock and eventually we will receive what we have been praying for. Jesus gave an example of this in the book of Luke 11: 5 - 13

And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

And in another parable in Luke 18: 1 - 8

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ”

Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?

In this two parables Jesus is encouraging us not to give up in all our request and by being persistent, he will definitely incline his ear to us and he will even do much more than we have asked if we do not give up. Our Father is a good God, He said to us that since he did not spare his Son would he not also give us all our hearts desire, he said he will never withhold anything from us. We have a God that cares for us and he said this in

Isaiah 59: 1 -2

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,

That it cannot save;

Nor His ear heavy,

That it cannot hear.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God;

And your sins have hidden His face from you,

So that He will not hear.

Psalm 66:18

If I regard iniquity in my heart,

The Lord will not hear.

The Lord is telling us in this two chapters that the only time he would not incline his ears to us is if we live in sin. Sin separates us from God and God does not want us to live in sin. He is a Holy God and he says to us that we are to be holy as he is holy. We give praise that Jesus came to save us and because of Jesus we can approach the throne of grace according to Hebrews 4: 11 -16

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The coming of Jesus as our Savior made us free from sin and Paul said we are not to live in sin and expect grace to abound. Jesus is God's grace and we are now under grace not under law. We are to go boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and grace in our time of need, remembering that it's not by

our might not by our power but through Jesus only.

Jesus cares for us. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

He came for us to be free from every pain and he said to us in 1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The amplified says it this way

No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

God is faithful and he will always keep his promise to help us in terrible times and we all go through such times but he said to us in John 16:33

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Jesus says yes, in this world there will be lots of troubles but we should be of good cheer because he overcame the world and all it's stress for our sake.

Our father cares.

Jesus expects us to stand until the end and not give up in the following scriptures.

Colossians 1:23

If indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Ephesians 6:11

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

1 Peter 5:9

Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Joshua 23:6

Therefore be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, lest you turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left.

Philippians 4:1

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

God is able to help us in our time of need. We are to stand firm and believe that he can and will come to our help. He says we are to come to him and in his faithfulness he will show us what his plan is for our lives. Children of God are free from every condemnation and we are to live a victorious life, Jesus said so in his WORD.

1 John 5:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

We are born of God and through our faith in his Son we overcome every circumstances of life. God rewards faith and He wants us to live by faith and not by sight. Every day of our lives is to be a life of faith in God and his promises. Without faith it's impossible to please God, when I saw this in his WORD I decided to live a life of faith and trust him at all times.

God does care for us.

God cares so much for us all that he said this to us in Isaiah 55: 8 -9

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

The message translation puts it this way:

I don’t think the way you think.

The way you work isn’t the way I work.”

God’s Decree.

“For as the sky soars high above earth,

so the way I work surpasses the way you work,

and the way I think is beyond the way you think.

We can see that God's thoughts towards us is nothing compared to the way we think and we might be thinking that our thoughts and our way is right and perfect for us, and that we do not need any other but God is saying to us here that we are not to compare our thoughts and ways with his own plan for us. When we submit to his plans for us we can start seeing fruitfulness in every area of our lives.

Going God's way is more beneficial to us. He created us and he put his plan in us according to the book of Jeremiah 1 verse 5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I santified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations".

And also in Psalm 139: 13 -17 he says this:

For You formed my innermost parts;

You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works,

And my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was being formed in secret,

And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;

And in Your book were all written

The days that were appointed for me,

When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How vast is the sum of them!

This is powerful reading this should give us all an assurance that God knows and cares for us all, he made us and put all his plans in us. Our prayer is that every of his plan in us that he put there will be accomplished in this realm. Our parents, pastors, friends did not put any plan in us it is God that has put all of his ways, thoughts in us and as we believe in his plans it will manifest in our lives to his glory.

God cares for us.

When Jesus was here on earth, the bible records that at one point he needed help from his father and in the book of Hebrews 5:7 he cried out loud and God heard him.

Hebrews 5:7

In the days of His earthly life, Jesus offered up both [specific] petitions and [urgent] supplications [for that which He needed] with fervent crying and tears to the One who was [always] able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission toward God [His sinlessness and His unfailing determination to do the Father’s will].

If Jesus can go through his time here on earth needing help to do what his Father had planned for him to do, then has we are here on earth we also need our Father's help and that helps comes by submitting to his plan and purpose for our lives. Jesus submitted to his Father's will and he got help from above. Maybe things are not going as we want it to go in our lives because we have not submitted to his ways but has we go with his plans I believe that we will see a change in our lives.

The WORD of God says we are to trust in him with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways we are to acknowledge him and he will make our paths straight.

God cares.

Be blessed as your rest in his promises.
