Summary: When we see things in the natural, we may think, “Nothing good can come from this.” But what happens, when we look at the same picture with “the eyes of faith? It's time to look beyond the facts.

LOOK BEYOND THE FACTS!

Genesis 1:1-3. (NKJV)

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light."

The Creative Power

In the realm of the physical, God saw emptiness, darkness and waste. But in the realm of the Spirit, He saw a different picture of what the earth should be. He imagined a beautiful and orderly world.

God had a concept, a picture of what He wanted to see in His mind. Then He vocalized what was in His mind. God spoke out into the realm of manifestation what He already imagined and conceived in His mind. And the result is the world as it is today.

So, lets break it down so that we can understand this revelation clearly:

1. God saw, by the physical eyes a world in chaos, darkness and emptiness.

2. He created and developed an image in His mind of how things should be.

3. God spoke out what He wanted to see.

4. What He said came to pass.

The spoken words of God created physical light to brighten a dark world.

As children of God, we have been given creative power, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." Mark 11:23.

You have God's creative power! Your words can turn mountains to valleys. Your words can turn defeat to victory. Hence, use your words well.

When the devil is waging wars in your mind and you begin to think negative thoughts, silence the devil by confessing the promises of God aloud instead.

There's nothing impossible with our God. He's All knowing, All powerful and All seeing. But, there are things He will not do until we speak out in faith. In the Book of Ezekiel chapter 37, God kept asking Ezekiel to speak life into the dead bones until they came to life. Today, God's asking you to speak life into every dead situation in your life.

God Knows the End from the Beginning!

Genesis 13:14-15.

"14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever."

Abraham had been waiting for the promises of God concerning a child for years. The waiting is taking too long to manifest. But, Abraham and Sarah his wife, were sure God will surely fulfil His promises. So they waited!

But in the midst of their waiting, God never stopped communicating, reassuring and reminding them of His promises. A day came and Abraham was alone, God asked him to look to the four corners of the earth, and they shall all be his. Not only that, but whatever he saw will be a lifetime inheritance for his children.

At this time, Abraham and Sarah were still waiting and believing for a child. Yet God's making promises to their unborn children. This is faith in action! God knows the end from the beginning. Their condition won't be forever. It's just a transition.

Beloved, are you waiting, praying and believing God for your own "Isaac"? Your "Isaac" could be a ministry, a business, a job, a marriage, a dream, a healing, a breakthrough, no matter what it is, don't give up! It's not too late. God's still on the throne and in charge of your life. Your condition is not final. The doctor's report is not final. (Luke 8:43-48). The prophecies of death are not final, ask Hezekiah. (2 Kings 20:1-6). You will rise above your roots and circumstances. (Judges 6). Only God has the final say over your life. Your latter end shall be greater than your beginning. May your expectation receive strength to manifest unfailingly, in the mighty name of Jesus!

Every one’s sight is his limit. What you see determines where you can reach. How far Abraham will see determines his expansion and breakthroughs. Do not limit yourself and your breakthroughs, believe God for greater things and it shall come to pass.

The Power of Revelation

Genesis 21:19.

"Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink."

Much prayer and fasting without revelation will lead to frustration.

Hagar, the concubine of Abraham and the mother of Ishmael, fled into the wilderness and was prepared with her son, to die of starvation, until God appeared to her, and opened her eyes to see a solution to her dilemma.

So many believers today are like Hagar. Angry with God, frustrated, depressed and thinking of suicide, because of their situation. They think their issues are hopeless.

Now is the time to pray for God to open your eyes to see what He's doing behind the scenes, in other to terminate your problem and ushers you into your testimonies. Every problem has an expiry date. Don't give up!

What You See Determines Your Destination!

Numbers 13:33.

"There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

What you see and how you say it determines your destiny! With your own words you can accelerate your breakthroughs, slow it down or even prevent it from coming to pass.

The children of Israel saw themselves as grasshoppers in the sight of the "so called giants" and they declared so in the presence of Moses, the servant of God. They forgot the God is the One who is Bigger than the biggest and Greater than the greatest. They forgot God who miraculously brought them out of Egypt. All but two, perished in the wilderness. The promise land was theirs and for their descendants but they died in the wilderness. Canaan was their destination but they perished along the way.

What Do You See?

Jeremiah 1:11.

"Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?”

And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”

God's asking us the same question today? What do you see? Do you see a problem that's bigger than God or do you see a God that's bigger than all your problems?

What you see and say determines victory or defeat.

Your Jericho Will Fall

Joshua 6:1-2.

"Now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the LORD said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.”

There was an obstacle that stood between the children of Israel and their Canaan. It was the fortified city of Jericho. If they could not conquer this city, then all hope was gone. Joshua and the children of Israel obeyed God and the walls came down.

What is your own "Jericho"? Some of us are facing giant walls. The walls can be the hindrances to a healing, a financial breakthrough, a ministerial and marital breakthrough, a need for restoration, etc. Whatever the wall, you must exercise your faith by seeing beyond it. The wall that looks so incredibly big and difficult will come crashing down, if only you believe in God and puts your faith to work.

Pray: Every wall of delay and obstacle, standing between me and my breakthroughs, collapse and die, in the mighty name of Jesus!

This Too Shall Pass!

2 Corinthians 4:18.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

These things that we see, are but for a moment. They're not permanent. It shall pass! You may be sick, depressed, unemployed, or experiencing trials and stubborn demonic attacks, but God is work things out for your victory. No matter how dark and long the night of your weeping may be, your joy will surely come in the morning! (Psalm 30:5). The night may be the darkest you've ever seen, but it will surely be over. This season shall pass. Victory is on the way, and it’s closer than you think!

GOD CANNOT LIE!

Numbers 23:19.

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

Some people make promises but do not fulfil them. The reason could be that such people lacked he ability to do so. God is different, He is Almighty and He can do all things. When God said Sarah would have a baby, she laughed to herself because it sounded impossible and she was very old. But, God kept His promise to Abraham and Sarah. She had a son, despite their old age. Sarah gave birth to her baby at the appointed time, according to the Word of God.

God has lots of promises for you too— restoration, deliverance, prosperity, wisdom, healing, power, success, provision etc, and He cannot and never fail. Just trust Him like Sarah and Abraham did. Do not doubt every Word as written in the Scripture, because whatever He says, He will surely do.

Beloved, it's absolutely impossible for God to make a promise and not do it. Whatever He says comes to pass, because He cannot lie. All the promises in the Bible are true, giving us hope, that things will be better no matter how its presently..

Every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God is a promise as it is spoken. Every Word that He has written in the Word is a promise as it is written.

God is not a liar. He has never told a lie and will never tell a lie because He cannot tell a lie. Every Word that comes out of His mouth can be trusted and steadfastly relied upon. God is honest and trustworthy. You can count on Him. He is the Truth and His words are truthful. Whatever He says is what He will do. His covenant is steadfast; His Word is reliable. God's faithful through and through, and to the very end. You can lean on Him. He is unshakeable and unmovable, an anchor that is reliable. God is not configured to lie because He is not a man. Even if He tries to lie, He cannot succeed.

Are you facing challenges today that are threatening to overwhelm you? Be encouraged, God will never let you down! Hold on to His Word. Act in faith. His promises are dependable and true, because it is impossible for God to lie.

What makes it Impossible for God to Lie?

1. God cannot lie because of His holiness. The bible says He is glorious in holiness (Exodus 15:11), which means, what makes Him glorious is His holiness. The day He looses His holiness is the day He looses His glory. He is too holy and glorious to lie.

2. God cannot lie because there is no room for Him to repent. It is only the son of men that can repent, not the God of men. He is the God of men and hence, there is no room for repentance.

3. God cannot lie because He is not afraid of anyone. There is nothing impossible for Him to do, there is no one beyond His control and He is not afraid, so there is no reason for God to lie.

4. God cannot lie because He swore by himself that every promise He has made will surely come to pass. With this, I am guaranteed that all the beautiful prophetic word ever spoken over your life will come to pass. Never doubt the promises of God.

5. God cannot lie because it is contrary to His nature.

A nature is that which makes something what it is, those attributes that define it. God Himself said, “I am the LORD; I change not” (Malachi 3:6). He will never be less than He is now, or ever be different. You can count on that!

We can trust God because He cannot lie and His integrity is unshakable. We can depend on Him, entrusting our entire life in His able and faithful hands.

What Are Facts?

1. It is the visible reality which we can see.

There are things that we see with our physical eyes. Problems are reality; there's no denying they exist. There's no denying you could be presently at home jobless. No need to sugar-coat the fact that maybe things are falling apart in your home, ministry, business, career and prayer life right now. Yet, visible reality is temporary!

Faith has the ability to see testimonies in these trials that no physical eyes else can see.

2. Fact is the report of the devil.

The children of Israel were given two reports. (Numbers 13). One lined up with what God had promised. The other contradicted it. The Bible calls it a “bad report.” All the 12 spies saw and acknowledged the giants. While one party believed the promises of God, the other believed what they saw in the land and spoke against the promises.

Every day, we get “reports” from the news, our experiences, our friends and family, doctors, and many other sources. We also get reports from the Word of God which most times contradicts what others are saying. That’s when we have a choice: do we believe what we hear in the natural, or do we believe the report of the Lord?

In Mark 5:25-34, the woman with the issue of blood heard the report about Jesus, while doctors placed her on a lifetime medication; she believed and touched Jesus’ garment and was healed.

Whose report will you believe? Choose to believe the Word of God. Speak our and act on the unfailing promises of God. Then, He will go to work to change your situation!

3. It is the voice of impossibilities, fear and unbelief.

We are surrounded by voices. None of these voices is without meaning or significance. Every voice is communicating a message or information. Every voice attempt to commands obedience. The voice you listen to will determine your success or failure.

1. There's the voice of God.

God’s voice will reassure, comforts, protect, help, convict, and lead you.

2. There's the voice of the flesh.

3. There's a voice of the mind.

4. There's the voice of the devil.

It will frighten, confuse, discourage, and condemn you.

5. There's the voice of your prophet.

6. There's the voice of your spirit.

7. The voice of your spouse.

8. The voice of your own will, and

9. There's the voice of your circumstances.

The devil always questions the Word of God. He will attempt severally to make us doubt God and His promises. The mind is the battleground. Hence, we need to guide out thoughts. Every negative thoughts in our minds must be silenced audibly.

Practise hearing the voice of God. Cultivate His presence daily. Find a quiet place. Be still. Read the Word. Praise and worship deeply. Silence negative voices. Silence every voice of doubt, failure, sickness, and impossibilities.

4. The fact is to rely on your own strength.

Strength is the energy God gives us to complete a task. As great as that may sound, human strength impedes our faith in God. When you rely on your education, contacts, family pedigree, looks, knowledge, talents, resources, and assume you can handle life’s situations without God’s help; you will struggle fruitlessly.

Lean and trust God fully. When you look up to God, you can climb the highest peak or mountain. Do not lean on your own strength. Lean on God’s and trust Him fully.

6. Fact is evidence.

Evidence is the available information indicating whether something is true or not.

Everyday the devil gives you information that, despite all your prayers, fasting, giving and all other things you've done as you wait for your miracles all are still in vain.

But to receive from God, you must believe all things will work well at the end. Believe even when you don’t see answers to your prayers. Be patient. Don’t worry. Stay focused. Act in faith. Don’t give up under pressure.

7. The fact is proof.

This is an argument, or piece of evidence which shows that something is definitely true or definitely exists. This is contrary to the Word of God.

Beloved, let your faith in God and His promises, be greater than some piece of evidence that the devil reminds you of everyday.

8. It is undeniable.

Problems are real; there's no denying their existence. Even the Bible says in Psalm 34:19 that, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous..."

But, we serve a God who is bigger than all our problems.

9. Fact is the true situation of things.

We all face storms in life. It could be a long time infirmity, the loss of a job, business and ministerial storms, it could even be a family falling apart.

You may feel like you’re going through this all alone, but you're not alone. God's with you! Today's test is tomorrow's testimonies.

10. It is the circumstances on the ground

There's not need denying you are stressed as a result of the situations you are facing presently. It's okay to admit them. You don’t have money. The doctor’s report looks depressing. Time is running out on your biological clock. Your business is not doing well despite the money you've pumped into it.

But as you pray in faith from today, expect to see a total turnaround.

11. Fact is the condition of things as they really are.

It cannot be disputed. Lazarus was dead and buried for four days, but that was not the end of the story, because, at the voice of Jesus, he resurrected. The dry bones in Ezekiel 37 were dead bones. But the dry bones did not remained dead. As Ezekiel spoke in faith, they came alive.

What's the dry bone in your life? Speak into those situation today. Your dry bones shall come alive in Jesus mighty name.

12. Fact is the opposite of faith.

In the days of King Hezekiah, a certain King known for causing unnecessary wars and trouble, wrote a letter to the people of Israel. In the letter Sennacherib, King of the Assyrians, listed the many nations and kings he had defeated, and that the nation of Israel under King Hezekiah should be prepared because he will also defeat them. (2 Chronicles 32).

All Sennacherib said were facts! The Assyrians under Sennacherib had never lost a war and the gods of the other nations were not able to deliver them from the destruction of Sennacherib. But the God of Israel is not like the gods of other nations. He had proven time and time again that He will always defend and deliver His people.

King Hezekiah acted on the letter by getting the Prophet Isaiah—and praying with him. (2 Chronicles 32:20). The end result? God scattered the Assyrians. Sennacherib was killed and the children of God were delivered.

Beloved, when the devil, the world, and your situation besieges you on all sides with hard facts, there's no need to be afraid. Remember your strength lies in the Lord God—not in the arm of flesh. And He will deliver you, in the name of Jesus.

Important Points to Note About Faith?

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1.

1. Every person has been given a measure of faith by God.

That’s why it’s important to hear, the Word always because when you do, you are building your faith.

2. Faith is the Word you hold on to for a change to occur in your life.

In other words, you do not have faith until there’s a specific Word from God for that situation you are going through. Hear the word for your situation today.

3. Faith is to see a glorious future while living in the present.

It’s believing before you see it.

4. Let your actions prove your faith in God.

If we really want to get God’s attention and see Him move in amazing ways, we need to take it one step further and do something to demonstrate our faith.

5. Faith is the ability to stand in the thick of life's circumstances and say, "My God is able, and my God will deliver me."

The fire will not consume you. You will not sink in the storms. (Isaiah 43:2).

6. The greatest faith we have is when we've run out of tears, run out of words, and stand like Job and say, "Though He slay me, yet will I serve Him." Job lost everything! But he didn't lose his relationship with God.

We must be rooted in Christ! A tree that is not uprooted continues to grow. With time, it gets nourishment from its source and springs up again.

7. Faith is built on trust.

God wants us to trust Him fully, even when we do not understand what is happening or cannot explain the circumstances.

8. It's to refuse to doubt!

To doubt is to consider unlikely, to have uncertainties, hesitant to believe, to distrust, to speak words of unbelief and to be fearful. When you doubt, you let your circumstances control you. God's able! Do not doubt.

9. Faith is living in a thankful way even before we see the answers to our prayers.

Lazarus was still in the grave when Jesus gave thanks. (John 11:41).

If you wait to thank God only after you’ve seen your miracles, where then is your faith?  Faith is living in a thankful way even before we see the answered prayer. Thanksgiving unlocks the supernatural. No matter how bad it may be, if you are faithful in thanksgiving there will be a total turn around. Complaining and murmuring doesn’t make our situations better. It amplifies our frustration, spreads unhappiness, which invites the devil to steal our joy.

Every altar of thanksgiving is an altar where things are turn around.

10. The only way to advance in the school of faith is to take tests.

Many times when we’re faced with problems, we question God. We start to wonder why He let these things happen, or why He isn’t doing something, right now, to stop or fix it. Yet, a faith that cannot be tested cannot be trusted. Are you having issues at work or in your business? It’s only a test. Are you having issues in your marriage? It’s only a test. Are you having challenges in your health, ministry or career? It’s only a test. Are things falling apart in your life? It’s only a test. Don’t give up half way through your test. God will see you through. You will soon testify in Jesus name!

Today's challenges is only preparing us for the next season of our breakthroughs.

10. Prophecies are impotent until you believe them.

It is faith that converts God's statement into performance. (Luke 1:45). When you believe His word you put Him to work in your life.

11. Sometimes, faith arrow head can be dull, but through fasting and prayer we get it sharpened. Jude 20.

Keep fasting and praying. It uproots faith defilers.

12. Patience is the greatest need of faith.

Patience is that particular quality that enables faith not to surrender to circumstances or succumb under trials. Faith will die if patience is withdrawn. Have patience. Keep waiting on the Lord.

13. Never say negative things no matter how fierce the battle goes.

You may be praying for things that haven’t happened yet, but just because they aren’t happening doesn’t mean they aren’t going to happen. Don’t give up on your testimonies; God has the final say. Your situation is not hopeless. It’s not yet over! Don’t let discouragement or negative thoughts talk you out of your breakthroughs.

14. Where faith is at work, peace is the result.

In the midst of storms, often our tendency is to panic. Panic is an enemy of faith. It’s an enemy of peace. It clouds our judgement and ability to recover from failure, heartbreak and disappointment. Panic blinds our vision when we need to make crucial decisions.

Today, will you take the challenge to BE STILL? (Mark 4:37-40).

15. Quit letting what people say, do or think of you shake your faith.

When you focus on people, you’ll experience nothing but sadness and disappointment.

16. There is a miracle in the garden of your misery.

There is a triumph in the garden of your travail. There is prosperity in the garden of your poverty. God can turn your misery to miracles. See success in every struggle.

17. The more you speak God’s Word, the more your fears are being dispelled and your worries get knocked out.

The sword of the spirit is not the Bible laying on a table, but God's Word being spoken by a believer. You must take the Word and speak it.

Yet, before you can speak the Word, you have to know the Word. It must be fed into your spirit before you can expect it to come out in a time of need. Keep on saying what God's Word says, no matter what it looks like. You will soon celebrate!

When your thoughts are focusing on the failure or stagnation around you, quickly open your mouth and declare your victory over it.

18. We attract what we say.

Your faith increases or decreases with what you say because faith comes by hearing. Words declared in faith are able to pull down mountains and strongholds. Refuse to agree with the enemy of your life by cursing yourself.

19. We can increase our faith!

1. Feed it daily. . .through the Word. Read your Bible. Listen to audio Bible. Meditate on it. Pray about it. Feed on the Word daily.

2. Exercise your faith. . .by your actions.

3. Speak to your faith. . .to make it grow.

4. Your boldness will open doors of opportunity for you.

5. Free your faith. . .from negativity and doubts.

6. Believing the impossible as possible. Luke 1:37.

7. Share your faith and testimonies with others

What Must We Do To Look Beyond the Facts?

1. Make sure you are born again and in a current working relationship with God.

2. Have faith in God and in His promises.

3. Get to know God more intimately by studying His word and being effective in prayers.

4. Be open minded to the move and leading of the Spirit.

5. Have an incurable and irrevocable hatred for sin, unrighteousness and wickedness.

6. Find out what the will of God is for your life per time through prayer and the voice of the Spirit.

7. Practise obedience.

8. Do not be moved by what you see, feel or hear.

9. Realign your thoughts with the Word of God. Think God thoughts. Think faith thoughts. Silence every negative thoughts with the promises of God.

10. Let your confession be positive and based on God’s promises.

11. Live a life of praise and worship.

12. Do not live your life to always please people and displease God or yourself.

13. Eliminate fear. It's a spirit. Fear silences the voice of your faith.

14. Keep the right company

15. Always do what is right.

Beloved, whatever you read in His Word concerning your life will surely come to pass, every Word of prophesy and promises concerning your life will come to fulfilment at the right time because God who has said them cannot lie. We must have loyal faith in God. And this faith can be increased by spending time reading the Word.

Faith is triggered by the Word of God. The human spirit is activated by sight. How differently we see our circumstances depends on “the eyes” we are using. When we see things in the natural, we may see nothing, obstacles, or sorrow and think, “Nothing good can come from this. Nothing will change. There is no hope. It can’t get better.” When we look with the “natural” eyes, our hearts can be so heavy. But what happens, when we look at the same picture with “spiritual” eyes, the eyes of faith?

Abraham and the other heroes named in the “Faith Chapter” of Hebrews 11 saw something that others could not see. They saw the promises of God “afar off.” They were able to do that because they were looking through the eyes of faith. These people saw something that the rest of the world could not see, because they believed God. What do you see when you look through the eyes of faith?

Today, choose to believe His promise that He has “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Look beyond your circumstances. Look beyond the facts! Focus on God and His promises. Look beyond the giants. Say what God says about you and your situation. Speak life to your ‘dry bones.’ Keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Something beautiful is coming out of your ugly places. Light is coming into your darkest hour!

Cease from your struggles and be still, then you will know that He is God. Stay your gaze on Him as you make His Word your focus and priority. He is faithful and holy. There is none like our God whose faithfulness reaches unto the clouds and His righteousness is like majestic mountains. Glory to His Name forever!

The present is not all that's to be, the best is yet to come!

Just when the ugly caterpillar thought its life was over, it became a beautiful butterfly.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.
