Making S.M.A.R.T.T. Goals (part 2)

THE TURNING POINT

INTRO - We have proclaimed this to be The Year of the Turnaround. The turnaround starts with you and me releasing and unleashing the power that is working in us to reach S.M.A.R.T.T. goals.

S.M.A.R.T.T. goals are:

Specific - Watch and pray to see what God will say to you then write down your long term goals. (Habakkuk 2:1-2)

Measurable - Breaking long term goals down into small tasks.

Attainable - If it's a promise based on a principle and precedence in the written word of God, it's attainable!

Realistic - If it's not something you will continue to pursue through tough times, it's not realistic to think you will

reach that goal.

Timely - Set artificial deadlines for yourself to remove the option of telling yourself "I'll do it later."

Tangible (Traceable) - It should be something too big for you to do so the hand of God is undeniable and

unmistakable so you you can point to it and say "Look at what the Lord has done!"

What moves the SMARTT goals from a wish to a confident, favorable, expectation is getting to "The Turning Point"

TEXT - Psalm 107:2

Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

God set His plan in motion by saying because everything starts with saying!

Genesis 1:1-3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, and 26

[1]In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

[2]And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

[3]And God said...

[6]And God said...

[9]And God said...

[11]And God said...

[14]And God said...

[20]And God said...

[24]And God said...

[26]And God said...

God had a plan for man from the foundation of the world. God put that plan in motion by speaking the word of God.

Hebrews 11:3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Just like God set His plan into motion by saying, you set your plan in motion by saying!

Romans 10:6-8

[6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ downfrom above:)

[7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ againfrom the dead.)

[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

The righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise... But what saith it? The word of faith which the preacher preaches. My job as the preacher is to teach you how to release and unleash the power that's working you by telling you to stir up the gift of God in you to Speak the word!

STORY - Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a faithful trip that started on a tropic port aboard a tiny ship. They went out on what was to be a three hour tour but they became stranded on an uncharted desert isle. The people on the ship were the skipper and first-mate that knew how to operate a boat and negotiate the seas, a millionaire and his wife that had money, a movie star with connections, a professor that knew how to make witty inventions with unlikely supplies, and a farm girl that was no stranger to hard work. They should have been able to patch a hole in a boat! There was one person missing from their crew... a preacher to get them to The Turning Point of believing they could do it. If you believe it, you'll Say So!

Luke 6:45

[45]A good man (with a SMARTT plan) out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good...

for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh...

Say So!

Proverbs 18:20-21

[20]A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

[21] Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof

Say So!

Saying So is The Turning Point! If you say it... you'll do it!

Mark 5:25-29

[25] And a certain woman, which had an issue of bloodtwelve years, [26] And had suffered many things ofmany physicians, and had spent allthat she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

[27]When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

[28] For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

[29] And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

The reason the woman stepped out to touch the hem of Jesus' garment is because she said "If I man touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." She overcame 12 years of hemorrhaging from her womb, disappointment from physicians, oppression by society by speaking the word only. You set your SMARTT goals and plans in motions when you Say So!
