IN HIM
IN HIM WE LIVE, MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING (ACTS 17:28)
How close are you to God?
Do you move in God, with God?
So where is God? We are told ‘in heaven’, we are taught to pray to our father in heaven, we cannot see Him on earth yet in heaven He is seen in His glory.
Great, so, God is in heaven, many of us would like to think so, hope so, so that He will not see our ways, but hold on does God not say in Jeremiah 23:24 Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the LORD; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the LORD.
I mean we know that God contains all time, all being and all space, just think for a second, if we could see God would this place, this earth, our home not be heaven too.
The air surrounds us yet we need it in us to breathe, we do not see it, sometimes it feels damp the same as God surrounds us, are we not supposed to have Him in us as well?
He is above, below, before and behind us all the time, should we then not move, act and even think in God however in saying this, is not every sin already committed in God? We cannot escape out of His presence then out of the air that we breathe. Maybe turn off the light and sin then, but God is in the darkness, He sees through the darkness.
When men of the olden day saw our Lord Jesus in a human body, they saw Him who was God as well as a man. IF we are alive then God is over all, in all, and in us then who are we to say what is ours.
It is His breathe in us, His knowledge, His power. I alone cannot do, however with God I can do all.
DO WE LIVE, MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING IN GOD?
DO WE SEE GOD IN EVERYTHING?
ARE WE IN GOD’S PRESENCE?
Christ has come to lead us back to God, to make us co-heirs with Him, claiming God as our Father, God wants you to know Him, so let us read
ACTS 17:22-28
Then Paul stood amid Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Here Paul is taking on the religious ignorant men, telling them that they do not know who God really is, they act so superior, yet they are the same as everyone else. Paul is trying to explain how God has made a way for all to come to Him. If we do not know God, that is our own fault.
The first thing God did was that He created man, us, in His image. (GENESIS 1:26)
There was God, Adam, Eve, and down the line, somewhere the rest of us, so have we not one father. So many people think themselves superior, yet we are all the same, different in our appearances, backgrounds, languages (I am beautiful, yet I don’t know what happened to you guys) but bled, underneath we are all the same.
The bible states that we are all people equally created in God’s image, are all deeply loved by God, we have all sinned, however God forgives all.
The second thing God did was to send His only son to die for all of us.
God did this so that men would seek Him and reach out to Him.
HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY YOU WERE BORN WHEN YOU WERE?
WHO YOUR PARENTS ARE?
You could have been born in the 1900’s or not even thought of yet. God arranged everything in your life so that you come to know Him.
DO YOU KNOW JESUS?
He desires a personal relationship with you.
Jeremiah 29:13
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Isaiah 55:6-7
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
So, your life is a mess, things are out of control, you wonder why God allowed this all to happen.
Well we were given free will to make our own choices, our own decisions and it is not until we reach rock bottom that we finally turn to God, and call out, help me Lord.
He responds ‘I have been waiting for you to ask me’
Have we not all learnt the hard way that life is nothing without God.
If it seems or feels like God is nowhere near you, then can I ask when did you move away from God? You need to go back to that place and ask God
HOW HAVE YOU BEEN TREATING GOD?
I WONDER, I MEAN PEOPLE NORMALLY ASK, ARE YOU BLESSED? WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT GOD IS ALWAYS NEAR US, IN US.
Let us consider this quote:
Your life is not really yours; it comes from God and He can take it back anytime He wants to. (unknown)
In Him we live:
We must understand that we are dependent on God for life.
James 4:14
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.
Life is fragile, one phone call can change your whole world, things happen so quickly.
What are you doing with your life?
In Him we move:
Ok, lift your arms up, put them down. Who, what told you to lift your arms, how to lift your arms? Your muscles, your electrical impulses in your brain. Where did this all come from?
From God, His power made it happen, because He first moved in us, we can move.
In Him we have our being:
We know that we are DNA coded, everything is in the DNA, your personality, your cells.
Who arranged your DNA?
PSALMS 139:13
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
GOD DID!!!
We come from God, we answer to God, we depend on God, we can do nothing without God, we are His children, all who accept Him.
Galatians 3:26
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
By creation, birth we belong to God, by redemption, faith we enter His family.
DO YOU KNOW JESUS?
DO YOU REALLY KNOW HIM?
DO YOU KNOW THIS JESUS PERSONALLY?
HAVE YOU EVER TRUSTED HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR, OPENED YOUR HEART TO HIM?
MAY I INTRODUCE HIM TO YOU RIGHT NOW, BORN IN BETHLEHEM OF A VIRGIN CALLED MARY, RAISED BY JOSEPH, A CARPENTER IN NAZARETH, WAS IN THE WILDERNESS, TEMPTED BY THE DEVIL, BAPTISED WITH WATER AND SPIRIT. HE PREACHED THE TRUE GOSPEL, HEALED THE SICK, RAISED THE DEAD. SPEAKING TO ALL WHO WOULD LISTEN, WAS BETRAYED BY A CLOSE FRIEND, WAS TRIED AND COMMITTED FOR CRIMES HE DID NOT COMMIT. WAS CRUCIFIED, LEFT ON A CROSS, BURIED IN A TOMB AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD ON THE THIRD DAY, SHOWED HIMSELF TO THOSE WHO KNEW HIM, ASCENDED TO HEAVEN, SOMEDAY TO RETURN.
DO YOU KNOW HIM?
DO YOU LIVE, MOVE AND HAVE YOUR BEING IN HIM?

Dear Lord Jesus
I need you in my live, I know that I do wrong and ask for forgiveness, thank you for dying for me. I believe that you are God, thank you for loving me. Come into my heart Lord and make it whole again, renew my mind and make me a brand-new person. I turn from my old life and turn to you Lord; I live for you. Fill me with your love, mercy and compassion, teach me to live as you want me to, may others see you in me every day. This I pray in your name Jesus. Amen
To know nothing but Christ, there must be a continuous flow of revelations from the Holy Spirit, to know the deep things of God, to be a well of living water springing up. It awaits you. You who is willing to wait on the Lord in faith, believing and trusting.
In Him I live, move and have my being.
