Summary: There is good news in the midst of the storm. We have a BLESSED ASSURANCE. There is an invitation THE BRIDE SAYS: COME. There is good news if you choose. We do not have to panic.

GOOD NEWS YOU CAN USE IF YOU CHOOSE. BLESSED ASSURANCE

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com

Sing the song: BLESSED ASSURANCE by Fannie Cosby.

EVER THINK ABOUT THE SECURITY? LOOK AT THE SECURITY OF A BANK SAFE? WE HAVE SOMETHING MORE SECURE: where the thieves, moths, rust and can devour.

There is a door locked to the outside if not banking hours. There is a very thick safety door to the vault. There is another locked glass door to allow entrance. Then each safety deposit box requires two keys, a bank employee has a key, then the individual has a key. We feel secure? God has a plan to TRUST HIM NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

The question is clear… DO WE TRUST GOD ENOUGH TO COMMIT TO HIM?

2 Timothy 1:12 (NLT2) That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.

LIFE IS ABOUT CHOICES. WILL WE SURRENDER OUR WILL AND PLANS TO THE DIVINE WILL OF AN ALMIGHTY GOD? GOD SEARCHES NOT FOR PERFECT PEOPLE BUT HE SEARCHES OUR HEARTS FOR THE MOTIVE.

God is much more than a fire escape out of hell. Good people learn to delight and obey God’s laws and the law is not grievous.

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Psalm 37:23 (NLT2) The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. 25 Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. 26 The godly always give generous loans to others, and their children are a blessing. 27 Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever.

GOD’S LAW, WRITTEN AND LEGALLY BINDING IS GOD NEVER ABANDONS HIS PEOPLE NO MATTER WHERE OR WHAT LIFE BRINGS UPON US.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

WE NEED A GREATER REVELATION OF WHO JESUS IS. DEEPER, DEEPER --- MORE, MORE ABOUT JESUS. WE CAN FIND THE GREATER THAN…

My Mom wanted us to learn how to swim. But she dared us to get near the water until we learned to swim? That does not make sense to me. We lived in Oliver Springs and we caught the bus to Oak Ridge where there was an olympic size public pool. I was so afraid of the water. Don’t splash me! After several days we were there with my feet in the water. A mom took a little boys diaper off and put swimming trunks on him. She threw him in the water and he swam out to the deck in the deep water.

I was so ashamed of myself and the fear of the water. I started praying and confessing my sins just in case I drown that day. I was in the 7th grade and I feared the water and God. I stepped back, and back until I was 15 feet from the water and I started running and jumped into the water. It was ankle deep, I severely scraped my face and chest on the concrete bottom. The lifeguards blew their whistles and made everyone get out of the water and they took me to the first aid stand and painted me red with mercurochrome. The life guard told me no digging in the kidding pool. I was so ashamed. IT APPEARS YOU CAN’T SWIM IN ANKLE DEEP WATER.

EZEKIEL HAD A LESSON ABOUT GOING DEEPER AND DEEPER IN THE LIVING WATER… near the altar was ankle deep water, we are talking more than swimming, more about SPIRITUAL DEPTH. Near the altar was the comfort zone of ANKLE DEEP safety. BUT EZEKIEL KNEW THERE WAS MORE DEPTH TO THE PLAN OF GOD.

Ezekiel 47:1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

EZEKIEL LEARNED A VERY VALUABLE LESSON WHEN HE WALKED 1,000 MORE FEET

TO THE ANKLES… Ezekiel knew we can accomplish little in ankle deep water.

Ezekiel 47:3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

Ezekiel was escorted out 1,000 more feet and there was more. As he launch out to 2,000 feet the water from the altar was knee deep.

Ezekiel 47:4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

AT 3,000 FEET FROM THE ALTAR WAS WAIST DEEP WATERS. Seems God’s plan was to GO DEEPER and DEEPER… TO KNOW MORE.

AT 4,000 FEET THE RIVER WAS DEEP… SO DEEP THAT YOU COULD NOT PASS OVER THE WATERS WITHOUT SWIMMING… WE MUST KNOW THERE IS DEEPER WATER AND WE CAN ACCOMPLISH MORE BY LAUNCHING OUT DEEPER.

Ezekiel 47:5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

***CAN WE HEAR THE MASTER’S CALL? 1. GROW! 2. LEARN MORE INFORMATION! 3. APPLY WHAT WE LEARN! 5. BE MOTIVATED THAT WE HAVE TO BECOME MORE. 6. DEVELOP A WORKABLE STRATEGY. 7. ADAPT AND CHANGE.

Luke 5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Luke 5:4 (NLT2) When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”

I WANT TO KNOW GOD IN HIS FULLNESS. I MUST KNOW JESUS IN A PERSONAL WAY.

Exodus 33:10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. 11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. 12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. 13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

CONCLUSION: WE WALK IN PERILOUS TiMES. The only think certain is the uncertainty of the times. But all that here the biding COME…

One of the last invitations we hear comes from the SPIRIT and the BRIDE: COME WHOSOEVER WILL.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

You do not have to worry. We do not need to PANIC. We have great peace…

Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
