The enemy is under your feet!
Joshua 10:24 "Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." So they came near and put their feet on their necks.”
This scripture is too awesome, I want you guys to really comprehend the spiritual truth behind this atom bomb verse and get reenergized and rejuvenated, this is an absolute ‘cake’ for a leadership seminar. Say Amen. We need Joshuas’ to invite young people to come and put their feet on the enemy instead of going far away from God. You are going to feel so fresh and cool that you would start dancing and once again run back to doing what you did earlier for God. Hurray! The devil reminds you of your past and tries to weaken you; however, it is time to put your feet on his neck and choke him. Hey youth leader, worship leader, Women fellowship leader, it is time you understand who you are in Christ, who you belong to and come back with power to God! There is great work for the Kingdom of God, bounce back!
I was invited to a women’s gathering, which was being conducted by the pastor’s wife; however, she had decided that it would be the last meeting and then she would call it off, she was discouraged and lost her zeal. On that particular day, while I was preaching, unexpectedly a demon possessed woman ran towards me from the back, she charged at me, I was ready to just hold her by her hands which was filled with glass bangles, many bangles broke as she rolled on the floor and screamed, the demon later left her and she lay on the floor totally delivered. There was so much joy and happiness in that women’s gathering that day, the pastor’s wife rededicated her life to serve the Lord once more with fire. The devil is under your feet!
I had to travel 14 hours in the train alone and travel to another city to pray for a woman who was severely demon possessed with two children, along with a pastor in that city, we prayed for that lady. I stayed in the house of that woman for a week, most important the woman was kept in my bed room during the night and it was scared of me so she did not make attempts to run from the house. Eventually she was delivered, cooked food for me before I left that city. The devil is under your feet! Say that million times! Let the anointing oil of God run all over you so that the demons tremble at you! The secret for dealing with demons is your spotless, speckles clean life and intimacy with your Master Jesus! That’s it!
Let me expound the scripture to start with, five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it. Such a big army gathered against Gideon because they had made a covenant with Joshua and the children of Israel. The enemies were well aware that the Lord was backing the people of Israel and now since Gibeon was in covenant with Joshua , they get the covering too , therefore a huge army came against Gibeon.
The enemy is scared of you: Why fear an enemy who is actually afraid of you, moreover he gets all information gathered about you, read: John 10:1”Now it came about when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had captured Ai, and had utterly destroyed it (just as he had done to Jericho and its king, so he had done to Ai and its king), and that the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel and were within their land, 2 that he feared greatly,” Did you get that?
Pray for your team: Now, the enemies target Gibeon because they made peace with Joshua and with the sons of Israel." Friend, whenever you team up with a godly person to attend group prayer, Bible study and prayer cell, be sure to be attacked by the devil, that’s exactly why we need to diligently pray for all the people connected with us. The enemy hates corporate fellowship because there is power in unity! Youth Leaders, prayer group leaders! Attention! Write the names of all your team members , their family and pray, this is essential. Joshua gets the green signal from God, read: “The LORD said to Joshua, "Do not fear them, for I have given them into your hands; not one of them shall stand before you."(verse 8) When we have God on our side, there is nothing to fear, though.
An efficient Leader trains his team too: The five kings were captured and brought to a great gathering where all the people of Israel (verse 24) and the chiefs of the men of war were present, Joshua did not do this in a corner but the entire congregation of Israel were present to see because he wanted them to understand the power of God and Joshua asked the chiefs of the men of war to come near and put their feet on the neck of the kings. Observe, Joshua did not do that himself but he was instilling grit and guts in the hearts of his leaders. He also said, “do not fear, God will likewise do to all your enemies with whom you fight." Hey friends, Joshua wanted his men to gain power because they had more battles to fight! That’s the spirit of a leader to empower his team!
Put your enemies under your feet: Friend, what is choking you today? Are you choked and smothered with self-condemnation, guilt, debts, addiction, past life; whatever, put them under your feet today and gain victory over your enemies. Confess today, “I am not beneath but above!” Romans 16:20”The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”
