Summary: The Lord, our miracle working God, who has promised to “put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” Praise His glorious name.

Miracle-Working God

“I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you. Exodus 15:26b. So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” - Exodus 23:25

It is great news that we serve a miracle-working God. Amen. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The word ‘created’ in Hebrew is ‘bara’, which means to make from nothing. God did not rearrange anything. He made something out of nothing. And this event is full of mystery and miracle working power. He breathed into a handful of dirt, and a man became a living soul. He separated the day from the night and light from darkness.

Jesus of Nazareth was born in the womb of a virgin. Jesus grew to become the healer, and the miracle-working son of God our Lord. Our savior is a miracle-working God. There were no exceptions in the healing ministry of Jesus. He healed the lame, he healed the deaf, he healed the blind, and more. On some occasions, he healed with one touch, and on other occasions, he healed with two. In one incident, Jesus put dirt in his hand, spat into it, and put mud on to the eyes of a blind man. Brothers and sisters, there is no medical journal that recommends healing this way. There is no hospital that would recommend this practice. So, why did he do that? Because there was a belief among the Jewish people that there was healing virtue in the saliva of the firstborn male in every family. Jesus was saying to his Jewish audience, I am the firstborn of my Father. And I have healing power in my hand. The blind man was healed because Jesus is the healer. He healed many diseases. Leprosy, during the time of Jesus, was considered a death sentence because there was no cure. But with His touch, leprous bodies were healed.

To those of you who are in this sanctuary and those who are watching by online broadcast, Lord Jesus Christ can heal you. He can heal you he can save you he can redeem you. Your life is not over until God says it's over. Often, we give up on ourselves, but God doesn't give up on us.

Blessed are those who have Faith

He healed blood diseases. He healed nerve disease. He healed people, one by one. He healed people in groups. And He healed through long distance. Remember (Luke 7:2-10) when the centurion came to him and said, “my son who is a long way off; he needs healing.” And he said to Jesus, “if you would just speak the word.” Jesus replied to him, “I haven't seen this kind of faith in all of Israel.” And that military man received instant healing for his son who was a long distance away. Because there is no distance in prayer when God's children start to pray.

Do you need a miracle? The first step is to have faith in God. Have faith in God!! (Mark 11:22) For with God nothing will be impossible (Luke 1:37). Whatever you ask in My name, that will do, the Father may be glorified in the Son. (John 14:13). These three statements are very important verses in the Bible.

Faith starts out before you know or see your victories. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Without faith, the Bible says it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6-11) By faith, Noah built an ark, and he saved his family and his generations. By faith, Abraham looked for a city, whose builder and maker was God. By faith, Sarah conceived at the age of 90 and gave birth Isaac, the son of laughter. The Bible declares in the New Testament: have faith in God!

Joke: There was a fourth-grade boy who celebrated his birthday on crutches after falling from his tree-house. He couldn’t carry his cupcakes into school without help. Therefore, the father asked his sixth-grade son, Noah, to help his little brother carry them in. “I could,” he said, “but I do not want to.” The father decided to use this as a teaching moment. He asked Noah, “What would Jesus do?” Noah answered, “Jesus would heal him so he could carry his own cupcakes. Not me”

Blessed are those who reap His Benefits

Let's consider the spiritual foundation for miracles. Man is a twofold nature. You are physical, and you are spiritual. Both natures have been equally addressed in the Scriptures. God, ruler of the natural, is also the God of the Supernatural. We only have control of the matters in the natural world. We can create vaccines, medicine, and medical machines. However, let me tell you, let yourself be natural and let God be supernatural. There are many atheists and scientists in this world that believe that they do not need God, because they are able to solve and fix all the problems of this world themselves. When you get too heavenly minded, you're no longer earthly good. You lose your righteousness. The God who enforces the law of gravity and the law of physics, also enforces the laws of the supernatural. Your physical body is exposed to disease, and your soul has been corrupted by sin. But understand that both have been addressed in God's plan of redemption. Your sins have been forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ, and your body has been healed by the stripes on His wounds. The bill has already been paid. All you have to do is confess to the Father in Jesus’ name that you want this healing and God will do it. David explains in Psalm 103:2-3, “Bless the Lord O my soul and don't forget his benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”

Word of God

Read in Luke 8:43-44, “Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.” She reached out and grabbed that twisted coil recognizing that she had the Word of God in her hand. And Jesus said, ‘I have felt virtue leave my body.’ She had touched the very source of healing, which was the Word of the living God. When you put the word of God into your healing, you have a supernatural force that is above and beyond anything. The natural mind cannot fathom the word of God. For it brings life, the Word of God brings healing. It brings joy, it brings confidence, and it brings peace in the midst of the Storm. It brings power in the hour of battle. Psalm 107:20 says, He sent His word and healed them.

His name is the Living Word. It is a two-edged sword. It is the bread of life. It is the living water. This word is spoken under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and can make every demon in hell tremble with terror. Nothing is impossible to those that believe and call on the name of God. Hallelujah to the lamb of God.

In Matthew 8:17, “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. He healed all that were sick that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet Isaiah.” He picked up your sin & your sickness and carried it away, and He threw it over. He threw it away, and now you are free. Don't let the devil throw your old sins back on you. This will lead to iniquities.

The Promise of Healing

Our God paid the price of our iniquities. Now, what is an iniquity? An iniquity is an injustice, wickedness, which you know is a sin, but you continue to do it again and again. Psalmist cried out in Psalm 51:2 “Wash me thoroughly from iniquity.” But God forgives all of our iniquities and heals all of our diseases. The Bible says ‘all.’ Not some but all your physical and spiritual problems. (Psalm 103:3) Healing didn’t start only at the time of Jesus. It starts even from the book of Exodus 15:26. God said to the children of Israel, “I will put none of these diseases upon you which I have brought upon the Egyptians for I am the Lord your God who heals you, all of your diseases.”

God made that statement just as soon as He brought them through the Red Sea. They had been delivered from bondage in Egypt. The very first thing God promised them on the other side of the Red Sea was healing for their physical body. Isaiah 53: 4-5 writes, “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our Sorrows; and by his stripes we are healed.” Look at the two words borne and carried. They illustrate more than sympathy. Jesus didn’t simply grieve about your sickness on the cross. He carried them away.

A reference to this was carried in the seven feast the feast of Yom Kippur, or the feast of repentance. Leviticus 16:8-10 Two goats were brought into the temple by the high Priest. And he shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for the Lord and the other lot for scapegoat. The first was slaughtered on which the Lord’s lot fell and offered it as a sin offering, and his blood was poured into a bowl. The high priest took his forefinger and his thumb and put the sins and sicknesses on the second goat. It was called the scapegoat. It was later led to the edge of a cliff in a far remote place and thrown off, where it died. When it died, the sin and the diseases of Israel were removed. I want you to hear this statement: Jesus never turned anybody who was sick away. And neither should the church.

Healing Power within Us

The Bible says, in Mark 16:17-18 ‘these signs shall follow them that believe.’ In My name, they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. He begins to supernaturally release the healing power into your body. To seek the face of God and receive the healing of Jesus is not occasional, it is continuous. The bible says, as many as He touched, they were made perfectly whole. But it was not simply His touch. In John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” How do we know He got to His father? Because He said, ‘when I get to the father, I'm going to send you the comforter.’ When the Holy Spirit arrived in the upper room, it was literal supernatural proof. Proof that Jesus had reached the throne of God. The sacrifice at the cross had been accepted, the sacrifice for your sin had been accepted, and the sacrifice for your healing had been paid. Now we can say, we are redeemed by the blood of the lamb, and we are healed in the authority of Jesus name.

Jesus gave this commission to the church. It's a commission that has never been revoked. It is still God's will to lay hands on the sick. In the book of James 5:14 it says, “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” He didn't say, ‘let them call for the apostles.’ Why? Because God knew the apostles would not live forever. But God knew that the church would exist forever. He is saying, let them call for the spiritual leaders of the church, and let them pray over them anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise them up. If they have committed any sins, it shall be forgiven.

Understand that the healing commission was transferred to the Apostles but now has been transferred to the leaders of the church. Because the church was going to exist until the rapture. The meaning is very clear: miracles will not stop at the death of the apostles, and it would continue to the New Testament church. The church is a spirit-filled body, operating in the name of the Lord Jesus.

CONCLUSION

Dear brothers, and sisters, never forget that our God is a miracle-working God. He calls us to have faith in Him. He has become the scapegoat, who died for our sins that we may be able to live with the father in heaven. He shed His blood so that our iniquities may be forgiving, and our sicknesses may be healed by His stripes. Through His perfect sacrifice, we, as His children and believers, are able to reap the benefits of healing and forgiveness. Just as we must separate the world from our father in heaven, the Lord also separates us from the ungodly of this world. He made this promise to the Israelites as they crossed the Red Sea. The Lord’s people serve a miracle-working healer. But for His healing power to work within us, we must have faith and a stronghold on the word of God. There is no trouble too hard or distance too far for the Lord. Have faith that He heals and saves. Hold onto the word of God, for it shall be your double-edged sword in your times of trouble.

And most importantly, as a church, we also have the responsibility of prayer and healing for the weak and sick. Prayer by faith leads to healing, leads to forgiveness, leads to grace and mercies. For the Lord hears the prayers of the faithful. This healing prayer of faith and healing has been given as a responsibility of the church. Dear church, you have been called to pray in faith and healing. Pray for this nation, for you families, for your church, for your co-workers, for your friends, for the less fortunate, and for the broken hearted.

Are you ready to fight the spiritual war on your knees? Praise His glorious name. Amen.
