Summary: Verse 2 of Isaiah 60, gives the reader more of a grip about the time and season of this glorious light. It will be in a day and time of great darkness, and a deep darkness among the people.

Days Of The Holy Spirit and Deception.

Isaiah 60:1-2NKJV

Glynda Lomax wrote, I live in Arkansas. I love when autumn comes and fall leaves drift down on autumn breezes. But in Arkansas, you have to be careful about those leaves on the ground because some of them conceal serpents.

There are lots of Copperhead Snakes here. Copperheads are venomous Pit Vipers that strike you as soon as they sense heat when any part of your body comes near them. And they blend perfectly in with the beautiful fall leaves. when these snakes sense a predator is near, they will sometimes freeze in place, making them blend in even better, and making it tougher to discern the danger.

She writes, they don’t even have the good manners to rattle at you like rattlesnakes in Texas do.

So be careful of those serpents that hide behind beauty, waiting for a chance to strike at you and bring destruction. It only takes one step in the wrong direction.

Isaiah 60:1-2NKJV Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1, predicts the purity and enlargement of the church to come. A time when the church grows and gathers a great awareness of her own wealth and love unto their God.

Verse 2 of Isaiah 60, gives the reader more of a grip about the time and season of this glorious light.

It will be in a day and time of great darkness, and a deep darkness among the people.

The greatness of this scripture is found in Isaiah 60:2bNLT…but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.

As believers are faithfully living within the insides of God’s Holy Word they will be totally protected. P.H

Remember Peter wrote about what the prophet Joel said would transpire and come into fruition.

We’ve seen portions of these verse fulfilled but there’s more to come. Acts 2:15-21NKJV 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

An end-time revival could be underway as I speak. A revival of closeness, a revival of love, A revival of community, A revival of the Holy Spirit’s goodness, love, joy and peace. A revival of prayer, and holiness.

However be aware that during this time of Holy Spirit, great darkness, deception and lies will transpire.

Let’s read verse 21 together—And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

“In the middle of this great darkness let us always remember individuals can still be saved!” P.H

You and I are living in strange times. Approximately 2,000 years ago, the Scriptures prophesied of this end-time delusion.

Paul wrote to Timothy, 1 Timothy 4:1-2NLT Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.

Turning away from truth means to turn to anything else that will always be inferior.

In World War 2, It was the German Nazi’s who murdered millions of Jewish people. Nazi doctors performed sex change operations, just to add pain and suffering to the Jews. These doctors killed thousands on their operating tables, these doctors never thought a minute, that is was unusually punishment. I could go on and on about the suffering through dismemberment of limbs, and reproductive systems. It’s some pretty gross murderous stuff.

Again, 1 Timothy 4:1-2AMP But the [Holy] Spirit explicitly and unmistakably declares that in later times some will turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 [misled] by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared as with a branding iron [leaving them incapable of ethical functioning],

The word ‘seducing’ in this verse is translated from a form of the Greek word planao and describes a deception, a moral wandering, or a person or nation that veered morally from a solid path and is now adrift.

Men departing from their faith, following delusions. Following news media, stock earnings, Placing more value in conspiracy theories, sports, vanity found in a new car or house. Men following after money or another job promotion. P.H

Can I remind you that satan is the master of delusion.

The devil say’s, “You can’t serve God. ‘You’re not good enough, ‘You’re a hypocrite. ‘You’ve failed in the past, you’ll fail in the future.”

The Message Bible says—Some will chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4NKJV But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Illustration: Most house fire deaths come because of the smoke intake into the lungs. In fact, It only takes just a little daily smoke intake to effect your lungs.

Always understand, until this gospel is taken away, and the end of this age ends, there is always the blessed hope of salvation. P.H

Hear the Apostle Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4NLT But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.

What does Paul fear? Their pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted. Paul fears that the church, will happily put up with someone teaching or preaching another gospel.

Examples—Half truths, Taking scriptures out of context, exaggerations, plain out unbelief.

Satan deceived Eve by causing her to question the validity of God’s Word and, in the process, perverted God’s character in her eyes.

Hebrews 4:12-13NKJV Should become part of our confession. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Everything that goes on inside the house of God as well as our own personal temple, should be measured according to God’s word.

Deception can and has crept into the Church.

Through incorrect teaching and preaching.

Through turning to a one sided gospel.

Out of pride, lust and power.

Money—God’s word states, The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

Ephesians 2:2, Paul states that unbelievers walk according to the course of this world.

In this day and time we live in, if you trust and believe in the love, wealth and power of scripture, God’s word, you will be considered narrow minded, inflexible and uncompromising.

Isaiah 5:20, prophesied that a day would come when evil would be called good and good will be called evil and darkness would be substituted for Light. That day is now!

In this study together, I cannot fail to tell you about Jude, the half brother to Jesus.

Listen to Jude 1:1-4 Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:

2 Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude plainly points out that he came to speak about our common salvation, but this would have to wait, because of certain men have crept in unnoticed!

2 Corinthians 10:3-5NKJV For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

As a believer, we are to pull down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God.

This is a command unto every believer—Bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Listen to what God’s holy word says about the ungodly, or you could call them the unrepentant.

In Hosea 8:7, this chapter speaks of corruption from Israel and their enemies, and how God responds. 7 “They have planted the wind and will harvest the whirlwind. The stalks of grain wither and produce nothing to eat. And even if there is any grain, foreigners will eat it.

Here’s a good for instance of countries without the presence of God. However, God, because of His goodness, restores to those that ask. According to the OT and NT, a student of God’s word finds out quickly that Israel is a type or shadow of the church.

God’s looking for a mighty church, a church that is fruitful, and gifted. A church that acknowledges the authority she has in His (Jesus’) name.

We need to point with our spiritual fingers and direct the devil—the god of this world where to go. P.H

Benediction.
