Summary: Humble life is part of a disciple, a command from the Lord himself. A proud heart is an abomination to the Lord, honour comes after humility.

There is a reward to anyone who humbles before God. Peter insists that we humble in the hand of God and not before humans.

Christian Scholar and author C. S. Lewis, said, "a proud man is always looking down on things and people;" As a result, such people lose the opportunity to serve others nor fulfill the purpose of God (Eph 2:10). Jesus was and is our great model, who emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, obeyed God till death. Showing to us that unless we are humble we are not ready to serve others.

Isaiah 50:5, says, that after the Lord opened his ears, he hasn't been rebellious..." so true the Word of God brings us to our knees to show our worship, commitment, and dedication to fulfill the purpose of God.

As you return to the Lord know that he searches us much deeper within our hearts and minds. Let's come before him humbled and ready to be used.
