Psalms 50:1-23 (KJV) The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. 2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. 3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

The introduction to this psalm tells us that our mighty God is coming.

What a glorious eagerness this should be for the child of God.

Some day we shall see our Lord!

This is the vision for every believer.

Our God shall come!

Vs.= 1 He hath spoken

God spoke in creation and it was so!

God only has to speak and it will be done!

Vs. = 2 Out of Zion…God hath shined

God shines out of His people.

Vs. = 3 shall not keep silence

There will be a time for Judgement.

God is now our savior

Three will be a time when He will be our Judge

Vs. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. 5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

He shall call….Gather my saints together UNTO ME!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Our God shall come!

Vs. 6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah. 7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. 8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

Vs. 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

God owns it all

Saying that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills is another way of saying that everything belongs to God

And God is so willing to share with you…

Matthew 6:8 (KJV) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Vs. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

I Don’t Need You…I WANT YOU!

Lamentations 3:21-24 (KJV) This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

The Lord’s compassion for you NEVER fails!

Near the close of the poem, The Hound of Heaven, Francis Thompson, nineteenth-century English poet, wrote:

Save Me, save only Me?

All which I took from thee I did but take,

Not for thy harms,

But just that thou might’st seek it in My arms.

All which thy child’s mistake

Fancies as lost, I have stored for thee at home:

Rise, clasp My hand, and come!

Our God shall come!

Vs. 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Let’s make an agreement with our God!

Vs. = 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving;

and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Vs. = 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble:

I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Vs. 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. 18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

The Wicked:

Vs. = 16. God Asks; “What right have you to recite My statutes and to bear My covenant on your lips?”

Vs. = 17. God knows that they “hate His instruction and don’t take His Word seriously.

Vs. = 18. They are friends with thieves and align themselves with adulter’s

Vs. = 19. They speak evil. Their tongue is so deceitful

Vs. 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Vs. = 20. They Have a very evil disposition towards others; They harbor violent hatred toward people…always wanting to get even.

Vs.= 21. God kept His silence when the wicked practiced sin

They thought God was just like them.

That God somehow approved of their actions.

That God winked at their sin.

But God Himself will rebuke them and accuse them to their face.

Revelation 20:11-12 (KJV) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Vs. 22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

There will be a time from judgement. But….

Vs. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

God will show salvation…He will forgive you if…

You offer Praise

Glorify the Lord

Ordereth his conversation aright = Or “rights his way”

Our “conversation” in the bible means our way of living.

Our actions converse or speak to others.

Do we live a holy life?

We must put our life in order and live a Holy life!
