Summary: ‘WITH GOD all things are possible’, that’s the promise Jesus is giving us today, anybody listening?

WITH GOD

Matthew 19:26”Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Let’s us say it again and again and again….’WITH GOD….WITH GOD..! Friend, it’s one thing to have a BIG CROSS around your neck and you go running helter-skelter around the whole world looking for help and support but today I am talking about the your steadfast faith in God that ‘WITH GOD all things are possible’. That’s the promise Jesus is giving us today, anybody listening?

Right now if you are going through a severe knotted situation and it looks insurmountable and undefeatable, God is speaking with you today, cheer up, all you need to do is put your faith in God with whom everything is possible. PARTNER WITH HIM! Don’t try to do anything without HIM, Jesus said: "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”(John 15:5) Anybody listening?

Disobedience takes the presence of God away from you: WARNING! Be warned that His presence is not guaranteed when you disobey His word, the Lord looked at Moses and said: Exodus 33:3” I will not go up in your midst, because you are an obstinate people, and I might destroy you on the way." Moses knew if God is not with them, they are doomed, so he pleaded with God and asked” "If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. 16 "For how then can it be known that I have found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people, may be distinguished from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth?" Friend, our identity is when God walks with us! I have tears brimming my eyes as I write this portion….

We needed the bank manager approval which was very important for us to go further with a particular project in our ministry, the bank manager refused to even speak to us for one minute and said, he has no instructions to do that ( this happened during COVID period) Well, it took 3 months to find out relevant papers that clearly mentioned that the bank manager is responsible. God miraculously connected us to people who gave us information, during this period we were praying very hard for God to do a miracle. Finally taking those instruction printed sheet, we stepped into the cabin of the bank manager, now I spoke FIRMLY , I gave the sheet which said, it was his duty to do it. After reading that, he said, ‘SIT DOWN’, Ah! As I sat along with my husband in the bank manager’s cabin, I knew there was a ‘third person’ sitting in the third chair along with us, smiling as we victoriously got the papers signed, scanned and sent from his cabin. Victory WITH GOD!

Dual control: If you have been to driving schools, you know that each vehicle in the driving school is equipped with a passenger-side brake as a preventative measure to assure safer training and the vehicles have dual controls. Yes, when God is with us, He has the dual controls to our life. When I went for the driving school, I felt so HIGH, as I drove the vehicle in the midst of busy traffic for the first time, but all along the trainer who sat next to me had the controls. It feels safe to drive the car when you know the trainer is there next to you; likewise when your God is with you, nothing becomes impossible, if you are patient He will find a way for you.

JAIRUS : When things looked impossible, Jairus, feel at the feet of Jesus and said: ‘Please come Lord!:Mark 5: 22 One of the synagogue officials named Jairus *came up, and on seeing Him, *fell at His feet

23 and *implored Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live."

24 “And He went off with him; and a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.

Mr.Abdul Ahad Rah, 80 years old father of two sons who were jailed fifteen years back, pushed through a massive crowd and reached the first security cordon. He looked at the podium from where Mr.Narendra Modi, addressed the crowd and realized the futility of his attempt, because he was 30 metres away from the gathering. Mr.Rah carried a bunch of documents pertaining to his sons, when asked about his desperate effort to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said: “I deeply feel that the Prime Minister has a kind heart, I thought if I breached the cordon, the Prime Minister would let me talk to him. I just want to see my sons once before death takes me away.”

The above news moved my heart! When you’re desperate I guess you would take all risk, break all barricades, cross oceans and climb mountains! The 80 years old father made a frantic attempt because he felt that the Prime Minister has a kind heart, he felt the Prime Minister would have mercy on him and end his fifteen years of misery and give him a chance to have a glance at his two sons. Forget about their release, he had not even met them in the last 15 years! Alas! I cannot think of anything more miserable! Can you? Every evening I meet my children Shalina and Joshua when they get back, as though I had not seen them for ages! I can feel the agony of that father!

One of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet and pleaded Jesus to come to his house because his daughter was at the point of death. I only wish people in desperate situations would seek God like this dad Jairus! He did get the attention of Jesus when he created a ruckus in the crowd and eventually he got back his dead daughter alive because of his right approach! Are you listening?

Friend, many of our situations have not reached the ‘stinking level’ or ‘ the sinking level’ which would surely drive us to fall face down before God! I have watched Christians frantically run to police station and lawyers to solve family disputes and alas they have forgotten to run to their Heavenly Father who is waiting to help them! Did He not say:” call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."(Psalm 50:15) Desperate! Desperate! Do you know how it feels? Do you know how it feels when the doctor tells you that you have to do an emergency operation right away? Do you know how it feels when you have no funds to pay the fees of your children on the day of examination? Do you know how it feels when some strangers come and instruct you to evacuate, for no fault of yours? I have gone through everything that I have talked above and much more; yet, God has been my Savior and Helper who stood by me, for me and with me!

Apostle Paul:

2 Timothy 4:17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully accomplished, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was rescued out of the lion's mouth.

18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Desperate! Yes, I wake up when it is still very dark in the morning and I pray along with my husband with loud mourning and supplications because I’m desperate to have HIM in my life. Jesus is not only merciful, kind and compassionate but He also calmly listens to my ‘nonsense’ puts up with my craziness, saves me during my foolishness, holds me during my weakness and hugs me in my feebleness!

I’m desperate for Him!

Emmanuel, God with Us

When God reassures Joseph concerning Mary’s pregnancy, he tells him that the one to be born of Mary would be called Immanuel, or “God with us.” Jesus was Immanuel. Wow, we have this assurance that GOD IS WITH US.

HOLY SPIRIT WITH US: Jesus promised His disciples that after He is resurrected, the Holy Spirit will be with them. John 14:16-17, Jesus said, “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth.”Wow!

WHEN is HIS PRESENCE ASSURED: John 14:23Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

We need to read the Word of God, through which we abide in Him, John 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me

Ephesians 3:17

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love,
