I. Praise prepares you for the battle.
A. Psalms 28:7 The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
B. Psalms 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.
C. Psalms 52:9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]: and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before thy saints.
II. Praise takes you to the battle.
A. Psalms 100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. (2) Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. (3) Know ye that the LORD he [is] God: [it is] he [that] hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (4) Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name. (5) For the LORD [is] good; his mercy [is] everlasting; and his truth [endureth] to all generations.
III. Praise gives you the victory in the battle.
A. Psalms 150:1 ¶ Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. (2) Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. (3) Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. (4) Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. (5) Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. (6) Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
B. Psalms 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
Conclusion: Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
