Summary: Many questions were asked to Him, and how did Jesus respond? How did Jesus show His Quietness? Listen!

"Q!!!" In the OT, we read of the "queen of Sheba, heard of the fame of Solomon and came with hard questions to prove him, .. And Solomon told her all of her questions .. there was not any thing he hid from her . . .And she believed Solomon was appointed by God to be the King of Israel." (1 Kings 10:1-9) Now, Jesus comes as King Solomon in the New Testament, and people have their questions for Him as well and He answers them, but with different results, they did not acknowledge Him as King.

A lawyer as Mim a question, "tempting him, saying Master which is the greatest commandment in the law?" Jesus answered his question, then Jesus asked them questions and they could not answer. "And no man was able to answe him a word, neither was any man from that day forward asked him any questions!" (Matthew 22:46)

WOW! How amazing that was! But Nicodemus came to Him at night with His Questions and Jesus gave him the truth more than he could take in! Jesus asked the questions to His close Disciples "WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? He asks us the question to us as well. Do you have any questions for Jesus? Like Solomon, He will give us all answers to our questions, and we will be amazeed, "That only the half will be told!

"Q" is Quietness! Jeremiah says ""The Lord is good to them that wait upon Him. . . to the soul that seeketh Him. . it is good that he hopes in the Lord and quietly wait for His salvation." (lamentations 3:26) Having a quiet spirit has always been a desire God's children. "That we may a quiet and peaceful life in all godiness and honesty." (1 Timothy 2:2) David said he was happy he did not focus on the higher matters but behaved himself by living a quiet life from his mother. (Psalms 131:2)

Having a quiet presence is priceless, as Peter speaks about the wives encouraging their husbands not by their jewelry but by their "quietness" in their character that displays Jesus. Paul spoke the believers in Thessalonica who some "were disorderly and "busybodies, rather they are to work with quietness and eat their own bread.". (2 Thessalonians 3:12) Can we have the same kind of Spirit as we are serving our Lord?

Paul prayed for the believers "that you may increase more and more in your love for one another. . . AND THAT YE STUDY TO BE QUIET. . and do your own business, with your own hands as we commanded you." (1 Thes. 4:11)

CONCLUSION: We may come to Jesus with our questions and He will answer.! Or we may come with a quiet spirit and rest in His care. The hymn says, (vs 2) "Jesus give the weary . . Calm and sweet repose. . . With the tenderest blessing. May our eye-lids close." Amen and Amen.
