Summary: The Lord's prayer is much more than a prayer guide. It reveals who the father is to his children.

TEXT: Matthew 6:13

"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."

OUR FATHER OWNS EVERYTHING

The Lord's prayer is much more than just a prayer guide. It tells us who God, the father is. Our father in heaven is the owner of everything in heaven and on earth. "The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him." Everything is by him, of him and for him. Satan has only a short time, soon he will be defeated and his evil influence on earth will cease. Then God's will over the kingdoms of the earth will prevail. "...The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever (Rev 11:5). All who have given their lives to Jesus will be partakers of this Kingdom but those who follow Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire with him. Demas missed his place in the kingdom because of the pleasures of this world, you will not miss your place in Jesus name.

ALL POWER BELONGS TO GOD

The Lord's prayer points us unerringly to the fact that all power belongs to God. "God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God" (Ps 62:11). Our father in heaven has the ability to do all things. Nothing is impossible to him. His awesome power keeps the universe and sustains all creation. He does whatever pleases him and none can question him because our heveanly father is omnipotent. Pharaoh witnessed the

demostration of God's power and bowed. Nebuchadnezzer saw God's power and trembled. Jesus demostrated the power of the Kingdom and all men were astonished. Our father is the owner of power. The power of God will touch your life and change your stories to testimonies in Jesus name.

GOD IS THE KING AND FATHER OF GLORY

Our daddy is the father and king of glory. "Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory (Ps 24:10). Moses saw a glimpse of God's glory and people became afraid of him because of the glorious radiance of his facial skin. He had to cover his face with a veil to communicate with people. Now, imagine what the full glory of God will be like. Our father is the owner of all glory and does not take it lightly when mortals take the glory due to him. Herod died instantly for taking God's glory. Everything about our heavenly father is glorious. We will be like him when we see him face to face. What a glorious expectation. People will see the manifestation of God's glory upon your life and family. Everything about will become glorious in Jesus name.

HIS KINGDOM, POWER AND GLORY ARE ETERNAL

God's Kingdom, his glory and power are eternal. Our father in heaven is not limited by time. He lives forever. For all eternity he reigns. All his children who live righteously will partake of the Kingdom, power and glory of God forever. For children of God, physical death is not the end; it is the beginning of eternity with God. For this, we ought to praise his holy name continually. The end of the Lord's prayer is a statement of praise unto God. Angels and the host of heaven praise him everyday, let us as children of the most high God render unto him the fruit of our lips continually. Praise the name of the Lord!! You will make it to heaven in Jesus name.

SO SHALL IT BE, AMEN

Amen is a fitting end to the Lord's prayer. Amen means, so it shall be. It is a final seal, an agreement with our heavenly father that all he says concerning his children will be done. "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" (2 Cor 1:20).

CONCLUSION

When you recite the Lord's prayer, know that it is much more than a prayer guide. It reveals who the father is to all his children.
