WHAT MOVES YOU?
PSALM 142:1-4
THIS EVENING I WOULD LIKE TO LOOK AT THE LAST 6 WORDS IN VS 4
*NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOUL.”
It is this preacher’s opinion that these last 6 words are one saddest words in the Bible.
WITH THESE 6 WORDS IN MIND AND WITH THE POWER AND THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, I WANT TO ASK YOU THIS EVENING WHAT MOVES YOU?
PRAYER:
ONCE AGAIN OUR THEME FOR 2021 IS EACH ONE CAN REACH ONE IN 2021
OUR THEME VERSE IS FOUND IN LUKE 14:23
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
WHAT DOES IT OR WHAT WOULD MOVE YOU TO CARE FOR PEOPLE – NOT JUST OUR FRIENDS – FAMILY – LOVED ONES – BUT FOR PEOPLE THAT WE WILL NEVER SEE – OR PEOPLE THAT WE DO NOT KNOW.
I do not know about you but this verse moves me. What this is saying there was a person in need. The need was not a physical need but a Spiritual need
He states I looked everywhere AND THERE WAS NO ONE – NOT ONE PERSON WHO CARED FOR HIS SOUL
NOT ONE PERSON WHO WOULD SHARE WITH HIM THE GOSPEL
NOT ONE PERSON WHO CARED ENOUGH TO GIVE SO THAT SOMEONE WOULD GO AND SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH – HE CAME UP WITH THIS SAD CONCLUSION NO ONE CARED FOR HIS SOUL – NO ONE CARED IF WENT TO HEAVEN OR HELL
AND NO ONE CARED FOR MY SOUL
Then I asked myself as member of SPRBC are we really concerned about souls of others? -
Does SPRBC care if the unsaved died in their sins to spend eternity in hell?
Does OUR CHURCH care that the lost die lost that are lost forever?
There are people in our community that is saying - *NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOUL
YOUR NEIGHBORS ARE SAYING - *NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOUL
YOUR FRIENDS ARE SAYING - *NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOUL
YOU FAMILY IS SAYING - *NO MAN CARED FOR MY SOUL
*I. WHY SHOULD WE CARE ABOUT THE LOST?
A. BECAUSE GOD CARES
TURN TO JOHN 3:14-17
Jesus speaking to Nicodemus said
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved.
WHY SHOULD WE CARE ABOUT THE LOST?
BECAUSE GOD CARES
B. BECAUSE JESUS CARES
TURN TO ROMANS 5:6-9
Paul speaking of our redemption
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
WHY SHOULD WE CARE ABOUT THE LOST?
BECAUSE GOD CARES
BECAUSE JESUS CARES
C. BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT CARES
REVELATION 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
D. THE RICH MAN IN HELL CARES
LUKE 16:27-28
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
E. SOMEONE CARED FOR YOU
If the Godhead cares and at least one person in hell right now cares about the eternal destiny of the souls of mankind.
Why are we so uncaring, indifferent or unconcerned about doing what ever it takes to see souls saved?
WHY DON'T WE CARE ABOUT LOST SOULS?
Are you listening I want you to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. In answering WHY DON'T WE CARE ABOUT LOST SOULS!
We have the excuses do we not? We have in all reality put a price tag on Lost souls!!

You know what it really boils down to? Do we really believe in God's Word? Do we?
MATTHEW 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
*II. WHEN WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE LOST
A. WE DO GO
MARK 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and
preach the gospel to every creature.
PSALM 126:6
Do you know if we are not out sharing the Gospel with the Lost we are living in Sin?
Sin is disobeying the Lord!!
And when we are living in sin our prayers are not heard
When we are living in sin we cannot have fellowship with the Lord
When we are living in sin the Lord cannot bless us.
When we are not sharing the gospel people cannot get saved and if people are not getting saved lives are not being changed – and they are going to spend ALL ETERNITY IN A PLACE CALLED HELL.
And their blood will be on our hands!!
TURN TO EZEKIEL 33:1-6
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
WE ARE GOD'S WATCHMEN!! WE KNOW WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR THE LOST!!
IF THEY DIE IN THEIR SIN THEY WILL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR ALL ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!
THEY WILL BURN
THEY WILL WEEP
THEY WILL THIRST
THEY WILL NASH THEIR TEETH
IF THE LORD COMES BACK THEY WILL BE LEFT BEHIND TO GO THROUGH WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD AND THEIR END WILL BE IN THE LAKE OF FIRE!!
WE KNOW THAT – AND WE KNOW THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE THAT WE NEED TO BLOW THE TRUMPET – SHOUT OUT LOUD – TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE GOSPEL.
BECAUSE IF WE DO NOT – THERE WILL BE A LOT OF BLOODY HANDS AS WE SEE FRIENDS - FAMILY – AND LOVED ONES ONE BY ONE BE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE NEVER TO SEE THEM AGAIN

B. WE ARE NOT FOLLOWING CHRIST

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
WHEN WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE LOST
C. WE ARE NOT ABIDING IN CHRIST
JOHN 15:4-5
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

WHEN WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE LOST
D. WE ARE SHORT SIGHTED
DANIEL 12:2-3
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
PROVERBS 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
I JOHN 2:16-17
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
We really do not see it – We do not see what truly is important.
Just think about it for a moment, we work so hard for that which will not last!!
Missionary to the Indians wrote this “HE IS NO FOOL WHO GIVES WHAT HE CANNOT KEEP TO GAIN THAT WHICH HE CANNOT LOSE.
WHEN WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE LOST WE ARE TELLING THEM:
E. WE JUST DO NOT CARE!!
Are you listening we do what we want to do!! No matter the cost we do what we want to do. No matter if we are tired, we do what we want to do.

You might be hear and you have not received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior Jesus Loves and cares for you – I care for you.

I pray for 19,221 souls in the 5 miles radius of our church. That our church we be so on fire for the Lord that no one could say:
