Summary: How important is the body? Jesus won’t function without His hands and feet. The head is just a head. It takes an active body. Finally, the head wants to call the shots therefore, His body has to learn to flow with the head.

The Authority Of His Church—Forever Presence.

Matthew 28:18-20TPT

Upon Peters confession that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus made this proclamation over His church (the body of Christ), “By saying, that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.” Upon Peters answer, Jesus replied: Yes Peter, And upon this ‘Rock/ Revelation, I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

This means, if you’re in Christ, no assault from the devil will be sustained.

Remember this, The Body of the Lord Jesus Christ has one head, and that’s—Jesus.

Whatever we do, we should lift-up the name of Jesus.

How important is the body? Jesus won’t function without His hands and feet. The head is just a head. It takes an active body.

Finally, the head wants to call the shots therefore, His body has to learn to flow with the head.

Have you ever been in a candle-lite service? All lights are off. One candle is lite, there’s a ray of light, eventually every candle will be a glow.

Think for a moment:

Mary’s trust, A marvelous Holy Ghost conception, The virgin birth of Jesus, The wise, came from far to give this child treasures. Jesus’ obedience to his earthly parents, and foremost to His heavenly Father.

Jesus surrendering His will to His Father. “If it’s possible, let this cup pass from Me.” “Nevertheless, not My will, but yours be done.”

Jesus’ obedience on the cross. He took our curse.

A sealed-guarded tomb.

On the third day, the earth begin to quake, darkness covered the earth. Dead men walking. Suddenly, Jesus arose!

Jesus spends 40 days showing Himself alive by many infallible proofs (Act.1:3).

This takes us to the last words Jesus spoke before His exit on earth.

Matthew 28:18-20TPT Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All authority of the universe has been given to me. 19 Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 20 And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”

Remember, Jesus’ disciples ‘were stuck looking up.’ Acts 1:11, An angel speaks, “You men of Galilee why do you stand there gazing into the heavens, this same Jesus will come again, in the same manner, that He left.”

In a book called—Rediscover Church. Collin Hansen states—Churches must first seek to become redeemed cultures and transformed heavenly cities. Only then can their love, good works, and pursuit of justice spill outward with integrity. When this happens, the beleaguered citizens of this world and its failed revolutions may then seek refuge through our embassy doors.

Can the world (outsiders), see God’s church as a beacon, a light for the troubled, salvation for the lost, Teaching for the newly married?Teaching for the deep, Teaching for our seniors, and teaching for all levels of spiritual growth? P.H

Notice Matthew 28:18, Jesus came close to His disciples…

As followers of Jesus, we ought to come close. Ask Him about the nitty-gritty. Come close— listen.

As Jesus comes close, you’ll hear Him better, you’ll listen closer. P.H

Matthew 28:18b. Jesus makes this one powerful statement that every believer should take to heart.

Your commission comes directly from the source—Jesus.

Matthew 28:18TM Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you:

Remember this, To every believer, your commands and commission came straight from the only ‘One’ able to back these orders. Jesus.

The Bible calls you an ambassador for Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul writes in—

2 Corinthians 5:20NLT So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

Remember this, As you invite and encourage, it’s as though Jesus is.

Here at CECC, we teach about—God the Father. Creator, Life giver, Sustainer, How He’s over all His works, How He’s 100% fruitful etc.

Here at CECC, We teach about—God the Son Jesus, His humble actions, His teachings, His humility, His service, His forgiveness, His loving ways, etc.

Here at CECC, We teach about—God the Holy Spirit, and His mission. The Holy Spirit—convicts, He also convicts His righteous. He gives Power to witness, Power to live holy, Power to tread upon snakes and serpents, power over the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you, Luke 10:19. Power to live and Power to die.

Are you ready for His last command to all believers?

Matthew 28:19TM Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Here at CECC, we’re not just a place to receive salvation, but we expect you to grow. Grow in giving, growing in service, grow in gifts, grow in fruit, grow, into eternity.

In Mark chapter 4, you can read about what Jesus says about the parable of the sower.

There were 4 types of soil. Only 1 soil type past inspection.

Mark 4:20TLB  “But the good soil represents the hearts of those who truly accept God’s message and produce a plentiful harvest for God—thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as was planted in their hearts.”Also Matthew 13.

Know for certain this is always reality, We should always expect seed to grow—to produce abundantly. To bring forth much seed.

Galatians 6:7-10TLB Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows! 8 If he sows to please his own wrong desires, he will be planting seeds of evil and he will surely reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death; but if he plants the good things of the Spirit, he will reap the everlasting life that the Holy Spirit gives him. 9 And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up. 10 That’s why whenever we can we should always be kind to everyone, and especially to our Christian brothers.

God gave me this word of encouragement:

“If you’ll just place your life upon Gods (My) seed-bed, My word, You’ll be just fine for all time.” P.H

Matthew 28:20TLB and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you; and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

Jesus states—Teach these commands, obey these commands.

What was this command? Teach disciples.

One more Bible reference from our text Matthew 28:18-20. Mark 16:15-20TLB And then he told them, “You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. 16 Those who believe and are baptized will be saved. But those who refuse to believe will be condemned. 17 “And those who believe shall use my authority to cast out demons, and they shall speak new languages. 18 They will be able even to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them; and they will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”

19 When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at God’s right hand.

20 And the disciples went everywhere preaching, and the Lord was with them and confirmed what they said by the miracles that followed their messages.

Just as Jesus commands believers to do this, He also commands His believers to know that He will be with them forever.

Do we really realize what kind of presence we have in and through Jesus Christ? Here’s our next CECC, T-Shirt—Forever Presence.

If you we are fulfilling, Matthew 28:18-20, We have—Forever Presence.
