Know the truth and the truth will set you free

John 8: 31-32 Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him: "If you continue in my word, then you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free."

If the context of these words is told, Jesus went to the temple again in the early days; All the people came to him; While he was sitting and teaching them, the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery and stood her in the middle and said to him, Master, this woman has been caught in adultery. Moses commanded us in the law to stone such people; What do you say about her? This was to test him so that he might have something to accuse him of. Jesus bent down and wrote on the ground with his finger. While they were questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let he who is without sin among you cast the first stone at her." Again he bent down and wrote on the ground with his finger. And when they heard it, they departed one by one, both the elder and the younger, on account of their conscience; Only Jesus and the woman standing in the middle remained. Jesus straightened up and said to her: “Woman, where are they? "Didn't anyone punish you?" She said, "No, Lord." “Neither do I condemn thee; "Go, sin no more," Jesus said. He spoke this word in the treasury when he was teaching in the temple; As he continued to speak like this, many believed in him.

Our motto is the words spoken by the Lord to these believers. Know the truth and the truth will set you free. We can hear these words like a proverb used by many people. Some of the sayings of the Lord are very famous and are used by many people. Commonly heard or politicians often borrow the words of the Lord. Some such words are let the sinless one cast stones. Those are the words from this chapter. What is Caesar's is Caesar's. Where your treasure is, let your heart be. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? A similar phrase used is know the truth and the truth will set you free. Although the Lord has not been accepted as a savior by these people, they use the words of the Lord. Even if they don't want Jesus, they want the words of Jesus.

Here are the words of the Lord to the believers. But these are not disciples of the Lord. The Lord wants disciples, not believers. Look at the last commandment of the Lord Matthew 28: the last words 18-20 Jesus approached: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; I am with you always until the end of the world. Three types of people walked with Jesus. 1 crowd, 2 believers, 3 disciples. The multitudes are rushing to see the miracle, to see if they can find any fault in what Jesus is saying. Those who believed, those who saw the miracle that Jesus did and understood something unusual about it, believed in Jesus. How do they believe? You don't have to hear the word to believe, you just have to see the miracle. But when a problem comes, when there is an adversity in life, and when that adversity does not see an end, you know how deep the faith is. If we look around us, there are so many lives of people who once believed in Jesus and then turned away when there was an adversity in their life. That is where the word is relevant. It is not enough to see the miracle, but to know the truth. How can we know what is truth? In the Lord's own words, Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him: "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." How to know the truth. When you know the Word. How to know the word.

How to know the word. Listen to the words of the Lord himself Luke 8:4-8 When a large crowd and those who came to him from every town gathered together, he spoke a parable: "The sower went out to sow seed. When sowing, some fell by the wayside and were trampled, and the birds of the air ate it up. Others fell on the rock and sprouted and dried up because they were not wet. Others fell among thorns; It sprung up with a thorn and crushed it. Others fell on good ground and sprouted and bore a hundred fruits.” Having said this, he called out: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." In this parable, the Lord is saying that something fell by the wayside, and because it did not go into the soil, someone trampled it, and the birds ate the rest. Some fell on the rock trying to root a hard place but could not take root in the soil and dried up. Others fell among the thorn, and the thorn sprung up and crushed it. Could not go deep into the soil. But some seeds fell on good ground, on loose soil, and the roots of the seed went down into the soil and bore fruit.

Is it because they don't hear the word, because they hear a lot of the word. We are lucky in that respect. Those on this line have the most time to hear the Word in the world. But many people find it difficult to internalize these words they hear. Because there is no room to enter. There are many people living inside without paying rent. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Let not those who do wrong be deceived; Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, selfish, effeminate, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, extortioners Galatians 5:19-21 Fornication, impurity, malice, idolatry, sorcery, malice, strife, envy, wrath, stubbornness, dissension, jealousy, , drunkenness, wrath Romans 1:28 -32 Who are full of all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, and wickedness; Jealousy, murder, strife, hypocrisy, immorality, slanderers, adulterers, haters of God, cruel, proud, self-admirers, inventors of new evils, disobedient to parents, unintelligent, lawless, unaffectionate, childish. . Ephesians 5:3-6 Fornication, impurity, covetousness, slander, slander. An adulterer, an unclean person, an idolater, a covetous man, with vain words. 1 Timothy 6:10 Covetous 1 Timothy 5:8 Who does not provide for his own household. Colossians 3:5-8 Fornication, impurity, lust, covetousness, idolatrous covetousness, anger, wrath, jealousy, slander, blasphemy, etc. There is no place to enter anymore. Therefore, the seeds that are sown fall by the wayside, on the rocks, among the thorns and cannot grow, they cannot take root inside and they dry up.

Now, if the word that is heard is to enter inside, it needs to have space inside. If you want to make space inside, you must first throw out what is inside. We all know that we all use cell phones and computers. If you notice, the photos are often saved on our phones, that's how most of us take photos now. Sometimes we are unable to open those photos. Because if the memory in the cell phone is low, we will not be able to open the photo. Then we will go to the settings of the phone and look at its storage. For example, if the phone's memory is 8 gigabytes and the available space is very less, what we can do is go to the used space and delete many things we don't need. Then the available space increases and we can open and view the photos on the phone without any difficulty. Then, when the unwanted things are deleted, the applications get space, the unwanted things inside us, when we evacuate the immigrants, there will be space inside and then we can load these listening words inside. Medicines are given when all the evil inside has gone out. Then the unnecessary things should be thrown out and the truth should come in. Like a seed that fell on good ground.

What is special about this seed? Let's read Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like fire and like a hammer that breaks a rock, says the Lord. The specialty of fire. Fire is a hazard. But fire has more benefits. Essentially fire does three things. Fire gives warmth and many homes in this country have a fire place in the living room or family room. In winter, it is turned on and the family members go there and sit. Why that coming heat is a pleasure to be around. Due to the heat coming inside the house, the boiler used for heating the house needs to work less. Then the fire will give us warmth. Two, fires will give us light. In ancient times, burning wood was used for lighting at night. Those who were unable to use a flash light used it for incandescent lighting when it was not readily available. If we light a fire somewhere at night, we will get light. Three, consumes this fire. Sometimes we use fire for digestion for good things and sometimes when this fire is digested it ends up as destruction and loss for man. If we cut down the forest and brushwood and set fire to it, this fire will burn it and give us ashes. The forest and leaves will be removed and the place will be clean. But if the same fire consumes a vehicle or a house, it becomes a loss and a loss to man. Here the prophet says that the Word, the Word of God will burn in us as a fire. What will happen if this word burns in us like a fire? This fire reacts to many things on many levels.

If this fire is lit in dried leaves, this fire will turn it into a handful of ashes. Yes, if fire is lit on some wood, this fire will turn that wood into charcoal. If a piece of iron is placed in the same flame, the piece of iron which was black as seen in will now appear golden in the flame. But when the same fire is in the furnace of a threshing floor, this fire will transform it into other, refined gold, which is more expensive than the gold that is taken to thresh into it. If the fire of God's word falls into your heart today, your color will change, your quality will change, your standard will change, your impurity will be removed, when that piece of iron lay behind the house, ants will climb on it, dust will catch, spiders will build their nests, crickets will come on it, dogs will stand on it. Here is this piece of iron lying on the ground where anyone can do anything, now it has gone into the fire and turned golden, now ants, dust, spiders, parrots and dogs will not come close. When fire works, a handful of straw turns into ashes, wood or wood turns into charcoal, iron turns into gold, gold becomes precious and tarnished.

This fire has been sitting in the house for years. It is sitting under the pillow, in the cupboard and on the table. But this fire does not burn. God's word is not fire. Why? Fire does not burn in all atmospheres. For example, if you light a candle and cover it with a bowl or a glass, the candle will burn out immediately. If you light a stove and cover it with a pot, the stove will go out. Oxygen is essential for fire to burn. Second, you need something to keep the fire burning, such as paper, charcoal, sticks, gas, etc., and third, you need heat. Fire burns only when these three things come together. This can only happen in an environment where all three come together. If this atmosphere is not right, the fire will not burn. Fire cannot burn in all atmospheres. Many homes have this fiery word but the atmosphere in the home is not conducive to fire. If the atmosphere of your house changes, this word of God will become a fire. There is as much gas as you like in the gas line. But if we want it to turn into a fire on the stove, if we want it to turn into a terrible fire, we can do one small thing. Turn the knob placed on the stove slowly. A small change. Then there will be a sparking in the stove, there will be heat, and that heat will be converted into a fire with the help of oxygen in the atmosphere along with the gas fuel.

A small change. A surrender, an opening of the mind, a preparation of our hearts like a prepared field, and the fire of God's word will begin to burn. When this fire starts to burn, many things will be burnt and turned into ashes by the fire that is this word. injustice, deceit, fornication, idolatry, adultery, self-indulgence, lust, deceit, covetousness, drunkenness, extortion, impurity, lust, sorcery, grudge, strife, jealousy, wrath, obstinacy, dichotomy, dissension, envy, rancor, wickedness, injustice, murder, hypocrisy, immorality, hatred of God, cruelty, pride, self-aggrandizement, new evil thinking, disobedience to parents, lack of intelligence, lawlessness, lack of affection, lack of mercy, backbiting, gossip, lust for money, and not caring for one's own family members, anger, slander coming from the mouth, bad language and so on how many tenent’s are inside. This fire, the fire which is the word of God, has burnt all this and turned it into chameleon, and in that place it will fill itself with pure milk which is the word of God.

Another fire is fast approaching if we do not prepare for it. Let's read Hebrews 10:27 There is a fearful hope of judgment and a fiery wrath to consume the adversaries. The fire of judgment is coming in one of these days. And when that fire comes, it is the fire of judgment. Fire that leads to eternal hell. Let no one who has heard the word today fall into that. This fire gives light. Let's read Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 18:28 You will light my lamp; Jehovah my God will light my darkness. When darkness covers the earth and dark nations, the fire of this word will guide us as a light to our path, a lamp for those who do not know the way forward.
