When Faith Meets Anointing.
I John 5:4
1 John 5:4KJV For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Always pause to ponder "What is the writer explaining?" John has just spoken of God's commandments as not burdensome and now explains why they are not burdensome. As Wuest observes that "The reason why God’s commandments are not burdensome is that obedience to them enables the saint to overcome the world.”
1 John 5:4AMP For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].
Author Pink was an English Bible teacher he wrote and I quote. John uses the Greek ‘neuter’ to underscore the fact that everyone who has been born again, regardless of gender or age, is victorious over the world.
How many of you are born of God? If you’re born of God, you overcome the world. And this victory that overcomes is your faith.
It was the measure of faith given to Abraham, that God counted as righteousness. Abrahams heritage was God imputed righteousness! P.H
1 John 5:4NLT For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
All believers are positionally overcomers but when we obey we are experiential overcomers and this is why His commands are not burdensome.
This evil world is defeated by faith and we prove victory through faith and faith alone. This I know, When a son or daughter of God moves forward in their faith, personal victories await. P.H
John 5:4TPT You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world.
I believe, God looks for believers who learn to bring God into every given situation.
-A believer who not only talks about their Master/Savior, but lives for Him too.
-You can be sure that it is the devil who convinces a believer not to live a faith-filled-life!
“Grace that isn’t faith based, isn’t grace at all.’ ‘Grace gets cheapened by mans movements. Take God out of the equation, you remove the super-natural.” P.H
Mark 9:17-23NKJV Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. 18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.” 19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” 20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. 21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
The boys father cries out, “Lord, I believe, but help my unbelief!” Jesus heals the boy, the crowd thought the boy was dead.
The anointing that you received, should be treasured and respected. -Held in high honor!
Isaiah 10:27NKJV It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck,?And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
“Most translations refer to the growth of the believer with the anointing increasing the size of their neck; therefore, all yokes breaks away while the anointing increases.” P.H
This is what my Lord has been showing me: “If I can’t bring the anointing into any situation I may be facing or in, I don’t need to go there.’ ‘It’s not deserving of my presence.”
Refuse to place a price on God’s anointing. The Holy Spirit was given to make you a difference maker. -To make your neck too powerful for any yoke!
Matthew 3:16-17KJV And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
-Did you hear the Fathers approval of His Son? Here’s the Fathers report. -This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
When I’m going down the road visiting the hospitals or a church member at home I want to be surrounded by the Holy Spirit. If the anointing can’t be in it, I don’t want to do it! P.H
I want you to understand the preeminence of Jesus Christ. The superiority. Surpassing all others:
Colossians 1:9-19NKJV For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.(Reconciled in Christ) 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
Testimony- For the rest of 2023-24, I refuse to just check a box, I refuse to go through the motions. I refuse to just pray the same generic prayer. I refuse to just read the Bible, I want the Bible to read me!
I refuse to anything if I can’t bring God into the every equation. P.H
In fact, I refuse to give my time to anything where I can't give God His time.
You can walk with an individual anointing as well as a corporate anointing.
When someone is called upon to pray etc, listen well to their prayer and agree. -I verbally agree.
Agreement draws on the anointing. Always remember the anointing moves upon agreement.
Matthew 18, Jesus deals with a practicing sinner, a habitual abusers of the grace of God. One that has no concept of the anointing. Or worse yet, Treats the anointing casually and with familiarity.
And with that setting Jesus speaks of agreement.
Matthew 18:18-20NKJV “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
So remember, It’s the anointing combine with faith that makes agreement powerful! Again, This anointing, and faith go hand n hand.
Remember this, “If agreement works when someone is doing wrong. Here’s a huge addendum, “Agreement mushrooms in the mist of love, prayer and grace!”
I heard this testimony and had to share it. During the French revolution, political prisoners were herded into deep dark dungeons. In one cell, a prisoner had a Bible. -His cell was crammed with men who wanted to hear the word of God. Once each day, for only a few moments, a shaft of light would come through a tiny window near the ceiling. The prisoners devised a plan, whereby they would lift the owner of the Bible on their shoulder into the sunlight. There in that position, he would, Study the scriptures. Then they would lower him back down and say, “Tell us now, friend, what did you read while you were in the light?”
Ephesians 4:7-16NKJV But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive,?And gave gifts to men.” 9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
“Every spiritual manifestation (big or small), comes forward because of your victorious faith!’ ‘Your recreated spirit, God’s anointing, will always survive because of the finished work of Jesus. P.H
Why? -Jesus is the game-changer. When He cried, “it is finished” -it’s finished!
Presently you have been endued with power from on high! -Just listen,
1 John 2:20,27NKJV But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
Yes, the promise of the Holy Spirit is the game changer for the 21st century church!
This is what the Lord is teaching me, We are to change every ungodly connection by living the Words of faith.
-Question: Is Holy Spirit welcomed in your atmosphere?
John 14:16AMP And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever-
John 14:26-27AMP But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]
Luke 24:49AMP Listen carefully: I am sending the Promise of My Father [the Holy Spirit] upon you; but you are to remain in the city [of Jerusalem] until you are clothed (fully equipped) with power from on high.”
Acts 1:8AMP But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”
The Apostles Paul wrote this in, Ephesians 3:20-21NKJV Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
So what happens when the Holy Spirit is welcomed?
The results are the same. Acts 2:1-4NKJV When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
So as Holy Spirit, and faith are welcomed and connected:
Lives are changed. -Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who went about doing good healing all who were oppressed of the devil because God was with Him.
Testimonies flourish. The anointing produces powerful testimonies.
People grow. (hurt feelings are let go). -John 15
Faith soars. Hebrews 11:1 now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.
Believers live, and die by God’s anointing. 2 Peter 1:3 All things pertaining to life and godliness have been given unto you through knowledge of Him, glory and virtue.
As we breath our last breath, the anointing of God will usher us into Gods heavenly kingdom. -The land of many missions!
Spiritual gifts become yours, because of Jesus’ great cost He paid.
Final word, God invites us to live with a refreshing. God’s spirit refreshes, restores, makes whole, and adds to...It enhances.
