Summary: Do you know that little room in which you are called to live intimately with Jesus? Are you sure there isn't someone else in your place? Find it out.

Judges 3:13 Eglon gathered the children of Ammon and Amalek around him, and went and smote Israel, and took possession of the city of palm trees. 14 So the children of Israel were servants of Eglon king of Moab eighteen years. 15 But the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, and the LORD raised up for them a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, who was left-handed. The children of Israel sent tribute through him to Eglon king of Moab. 16 Ehud made for himself a two-edged sword, one cubit long; and he put it under his robe, on his right side. 17 Then he brought tribute to Eglon king of Moab, who was a very fat man. 18 When he had finished presenting the tribute, he sent back the people who had brought the tribute. 19 But he turned back from the place of the idols near Gilgal, and said, “O king, I have something to tell you in secret.” The king said: "Be silent!". And all those who were escorting him went out. 20 Then Ehud approached the king (who was sitting alone in the cool, in the upper room). Ehud said, “I have a word to tell you from GOD.” So the king rose from his seat; 21 then Ehud stretched out his left hand, drew the sword from his right side, and thrust it into his belly. 22 The hilt also went in after the blade; and the fat closed behind the blade, because he did not withdraw the sword from the belly of the king; and his intestines came out. 23 Then Ehud went out into the porch, and closed the doors of the upper room behind him, and locked them. 24 When he had gone out, the servants came to look, and behold, the doors of the upper room were locked; so they said: "Of course he does his business in the closet of the cool room." 25 And they waited so long that they were confounded; but since he did not open the doors of the room, they took the key and opened it; and behold, their lord lay dead on the ground. 26 While they tarried, Ehud had time to flee, passed beyond the place of the idols, and escaped to safety in the Seirah. 27 As soon as he arrived, he blew the trumpet in the hill country of Ephraim, and the children of Israel came down with him from the hill country, and he stood at their head. 28 And he said to them, "Follow me, for the LORD has delivered the Moabites, your enemies, into your hand." They went down after him, took possession of the fords of the Jordan that led to Moab and did not let anyone pass. 29 At that time they defeated about ten thousand Moabites, all strong and valiant; not even one escaped. 30 So in that day Moab was humbled under the hand of Israel, and the land had rest eighty years.

Eglon = calf (world)

Ehud = I will give thanks (meditation)

Son of Ghera = wheat (praise)

The sword = the Word of God (logos)

Benjamin = the youngest

He was left-handed = he was thought to be right-handed so they didn't see the sword

Eglon:

• he is the one who dominates the life of the believer

• It's fat, so it's fueled

• the Israelites were incapable of defeating him

• is in a cool room, without suffering from the heat the people

• image of the church that must always cry out to God

Ehud:

• represents the relevant authority

? but it is also an image of the believer anointed by God

• it becomes a double-edged sword

the sword:

• it is the word of God (logos)

• it is impressive that the handle also enters Eglon's belly

• his bowels did not come out, but his feces (his servants smelled the smell and thought he was in the bathroom)

Judges 3:23 reveals a mystery to us:

• Then Ehud went out onto the porch, closed the doors of the upstairs room behind him, and locked them.

? Who gave him that key to lock the king inside?

Ehud:

• We said that it is an image of Jesus

• This indicates that Christ possesses those keys that only he has

• keys that open and close doors

? Ehud could not have had those keys

? he was in an enemy palace

? Ehud had those keys by divine intervention

? We can say that they were not the original keys (those were in the possession of the servants)

? They were supernatural keys

• The believer also has keys that open and close doors

Ehud again

• He is a liberator like Jesus

• Defeats Eglon as Christ defeated the devil

• Raise up the people as Jesus raises up the church

? Church, the enemy king is dead, let us rise to fight the enemy powers

The power of the key of Ehud

• A supernatural key

• A key that you also have

• A key that opens or closes doors

But Ehud also had another key:

• Judges 3:16 Ehud made for himself a two-edged sword, a cubit long; and he put it under his robe, on his right side.

• he He locked himself in a room and made himself a sword

? This indicates a life of prayer and reading the word

? him You don't go into battle without weapons

• He possessed the key to his house, to his room

? The believer has the key that allows him to forge his sword

Where and how is the sword forged?

• Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, go into your closet, and shut your door, and pray to your Father in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you publicly.

A unique key:

• the key to that room is unique

• anyone can find rest there

• but only you have the key

• you can give permission to anyone to find rest in your room

• but only you can find true rest because only you have the key

first problem:

• Who took over your rest room?

• Remember that no one has the authority to occupy a position that belongs only to you

• The master is the one who has the key

Second problem

• Do you lock yourself away?

• When you enter that room do not allow anyone to enter it

• Lock up and don't let them disturb you

• Your sword will be effective and sharp
