Emotionally - when my heart is overwhelmed:

C. Lord Hide Me - 2 lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

II. SORROW’S REST - 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me,

The Rest Of God’s Protection - and a strong tower from the enemy

a place above the fight and the fray.

The Assurance - And we know that all things

The Assistance - work together for good

The Acquaintance - to them that love God.

The Accordance - to them, who are the called according to his purpose

III. SORROW’S RESOLVE - 4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever:

I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

God Perception Of David - For thou, O God, hast heard my vows:

God Promotion Of David - thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

A Demonstration in God’s Faithfulness

David's life Prolonged -

6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

David's life Preserved -

7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

A Dedication to God’s faithfulness -

The Praise of Man - 8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever,
