A Message on "Running From God"
I. THE MOTIVE
1.) Disobedience 1:2 "Arise, go to Nineveh.."
a.) Displeasing 4:1 "But it displeased Jonah..."
b.) Difficult 1:2 "cry against it for their wickedness..."
II. THE MANNER
1.) Ditch God 1:3 "went down to Joppa .... ship going to Tarshish.."
2.) Disappear 1:3 "from the presence of the Lord."
a.) Psalms 139:7-11
III. THE MESS
1.) Damage 1:5 "...and cast forth the wares ... into the sea.."
2.) Dilemma 1:17 "And Jonah was in the belly of the fish..."
IV. THE MERCY
1.) Dry land 2:10 "...and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land."
2.) Duplicate orders 3:1 ".. the word of the Lord came unto to Jonah the second time.."
