5 Things that never change
Heb. 13:8
Intro: In a world full of changes, it’s nice to know that some things will never change. What are some things that will change.
1. God never changes
A. Heb. 13:8 and
B. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not.”
2. God’s Word never changes
A. Matt. 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
B. Rev. 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (How important is it preacher? The last issue dealt with by God)
C. God’s Word will never change because change means imperfection.
3. Sin never changes
A. 1John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world… 16 For all that is in the world,….
B. Don’t think that you can fool God. He knows all our sins. “Be sure…”
C. You can’t fool mom or dad either.
4. The penalty for sin never changes
A. Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23
5. The plan of Salvation never changes
