A Family You Can’t Wait to Come Home To
(Part 1—Husbands)
Likewise, ye husbands,
dwell with them according to knowledge,
giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel,
and as being heirs together of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered.

Husbands, love your wives,
even as Christ also loved the church,
and gave himself for it
Ephesians 5:25
We must love our wives
(and honor the other important women in our lives).
Spend Time With Her “dwell with them”
Close companionship; deep-down togetherness
Husbands are to initiate the action and encourage the process of developing this type of friendship
Know Her “according to knowledge”
Knowing our wives includes:
Her fears and cares
Her thoughts and dreams
It calls for a sensitive spirit, willing:
To be involved
To communicate
Honor Her “giving honour to the wife”
“Assign” your wife a place of high honor
Make certain she knows clearly you honor her
