Transitional Sentence: Let’s look at the 3 major steps in raising our children.

I. First step; Control. (Proverbs 23: 13-14).

A. Kids will be kids, (Proverbs 22:15).

B. God expects parents to correct their children.

1. Kids are not born to Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles.

2. You are responsible for your child.

II. Second step; Conduct. (Proverbs 22:6)

A. The best training is by doing. (President Clinton as an example)

1) Your children watch you.

2) What do your children see?

III. Third step; Commitment. (1 Cor. 13:13)

A. Listen to your children

B. Hug your children

C. Love your children
