He pours contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty. He reveals deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into the light. He makes nations great, and destroys them; he enlarges nations and disperses them. He deprives the leaders of the earth of their reason; He sends them wandering through a trackless waste. Jesus said, “If you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to this fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go and throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matt. 21:21,22)

252. God Who Responds to Requests From Others – I praise you Lord that you hear and answer prayer for those who call upon you in truth. “We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does His will.” (John 9:31) “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Cor. 9:8) “This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever!” (I Chron. 28:9) God told Job, “Where then does wisdom come from? Where does understanding dwell? It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing, concealed even from the birds of the air… God understands the way to it and He alone knows where it dwells, for He views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.” (Job 28:20)
