Introduction
Keep on Loving Each Other! – Hebrews 13:1-8
I. In the face of hardship because of the faith
a. To provide help and hospitality to those in need (esp. brothers and sisters in the faith) – Abraham and lot entertained angels as a result - may we be so blessed.
b. To suffer along with those mistreated because of their faith
Application:
II. In the face of temptation against the faith
a. To express love in a worldly way that deviates from God’s plan
b. To get caught up in love for the material that vitiates the faith (can’t serve both God and money)
Application:
III. In the face of weakness of one’s faith
a. Encourage to remember their deceased faithful leaders and the word of God that they spoke faithfully
b. Encourage one another to imitate their faith that brought them to a blessed end in Christ
c. Because they will find the foundation and strength for that kind of faith in the same person as their exalted leaders – the changeless one, Jesus Christ
