Summary: Let us not ask what we can do for the Lord, but what are we willing to let the Lord do through us. "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL

TEXT: LUKE 4:18-19

“ President Kennedy famous address was Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for country.”

Let us ask not what we can do for the Lord, but what are we willing to let the Lord do through us.

What are we able to do of ourselves? Let us get ourselves, fleshly man way of decisions and desires out the way and allow GOD to establish his desires, his ways, his decisions within us. This allowing the acceptable proclamation of GOD’S word to become fully manifested within us. This is not what we are able to do in ourselves, but what God has anointed us to do through Christ Jesus our Lord.

I) Verse 19 “To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

1) Preach: Greek Lexicon to proclaim, publish, or preach the divine Truth.

2) Acceptable: meaning a time which GOD has pleasure in, which GOD, himself has chosen.

Exert from In His Steps “ Oh my Master, teach the Church, thy Church how to follow thy steps better! Will the Church in the city ( riches, pleasures of things, hustle and bustle of everyday life) respond to the call to follow him? Will it choose to walk in his steps of pain and suffering? And still, all over the city, broods the Spirit (The Spirit of GOD), (The anointing is being set upon and is not able to hatch, waiting for men to allow it to flow through them) Grieve him not, O City! For he has never been more ready to revolutionize this world than now.

3) Never before as there been a more acceptable time for the proclaiming of the Gospel of Jesus Christ than now. To show the world the power of GOD, to revolutionize people, to put liberty back in the soul of man, to set men free from all oppressions and sins of this world. For never as the world been more wicked than today. Never before as the sin been more oppressing than in the today’s world that we are living in.

A) Abortion

B) Homosexually and lesbians; even acceptance of this in the Churches. The Cincinnati Enquirer ran a column from an born again Christian on the oppression of homosexuality in the city and the effects it would have demoralizing the families values that were set forth in the Word of GOD. The following week after the column, an article was written and sent in to the paper. Here is a portion of that article that was written against the column written. “ The letter-writer is homophobic. Too many in the Christian Church, both liberal and conservative, are homophobic, relying on isolated ceremonial and ritual regulations of the same nature that Jesus ignored or violated in his earthly ministry. Let us celebrate the diversity of GOD’s creation in human sexuality as well as our other natural characteristics. Let us celebrate David’s love for Johnathan, Ruth’s unusual loyalty to Naomi, and Jesus obvious special relationship to John “ the disciple whom Jesus loved. Let us not discount the worth of Jesus, Paul, Mary, and Martha because they did not marry and have children.

What filth that is being spread even behind the pulpit from Churches for this was written by a well known so- called minister in Cincinnati. Never before does the truth need to be proclaim through allowing the anointing of the Holy Ghost lead and guide us completely in to What Jesus would Do.

C) The acceptance of alcohol as every day and the way of life even being voted and approved by our own denominations.

D) Children being molested and killed and even killing each other in schools. This week the little girl in San Diego asleep in her home stolen, molested and killed. Why, now after weeks of her disappearance and finally finding out the most dreaded outcome, some say that they heard faint cries of help from afar in the night. Yet no one went out to help or seek her cries in despair.

The sins of the world are being accepted as just away of life. It now even accepted in our church world. What would Paul say to the church today? What would John Wesley, George Whitefield, and all the founding fathers say about the happening in this generation? They would proclaim the true divine truth of Jesus Christ. The born again, set free from sin message that has somehow becoming a faint cry in the distance. That God deliver people from the bonds of sin, they die out of the fleshly nature and are born into the body of Christ through his Spirit.

Now, more than ever before is the acceptable, chosen time for the true gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaim, published and preached to the utmost highest voice. To proclaim the deliverance of Jesus Christ on high sounding trumpets. We do not have to live our lives in fear, torment and captive to the sins of satan. For all can have power over satan and his sins that upon men. Let us with Jubilation declare the deliverance of Jesus Christ, the Blood of Atonement that we might be born again into the very image for GOD intended man.

Let us not reason with men and their thoughts but remember man was born into a sinful nature. For men say that we must accept homosexuality, for studies show they were born into it. They can not help who they are. For that they are right, but God did not create men to be an abomination unto him. Sin brought this into the world through the deception of satan. But Christ came and defeated satan and sin, so man could be set free from their sins, not continue in them. The chain of bondage of the devil and all his deceptions is severed by the Blood of Jesus Christ, becoming applied to a man soul. Therefore let us not accept sin( The wages of sin is death) into our midst but proclaim the Gospel of Deliverance of Jesus Christ, eternal life of righteousness and holiness in Christ Jesus and the hope of one day dwelling with him in the Millennium. Where death will finally be defeated and we will live forever in the New Jerusalem, restoring the very purpose for man creations to live with GOD, the father and look to him for all our needs.

Revelations 22:17 “ …. Come, Let him that heareth say, come, and let him that is a thirst come. And whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely.”

Let us sound the trumpet to all to hear as in the Jubilee year, proclaiming, preaching and publishing the redemption for all men, The liberation of the souls of men, freedom and grace for all sufferings of this life. But not only redemption to the captives, and deliverance from wants, to the poor, but also release to the whole congregation of the Lord from the sore laboring for the things of this world, representing a time of refreshing.

ACTS 3:19 “ Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the time of refreshing shall come.”

ACTS 3:20 “ And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you.”

Not only do we have liberty from our sins. We shall also have times of refreshing in Christ. The outpouring of the anointing of GOD upon us so we can with Jubilation in our souls blow the Trumpet of Salvation unto all man.

ST. Matthews 4: 18 “ and Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

ST. Matthews 4: 19 “ And saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

ST. Matthews 4:20 “ And they straightway left their nets and followed him”

How is the gospel proclaim or preached Through the Spirit of God, the Anointing, the outpouring of his Spirit through the saints of GOD. He will pour out his Spirit upon them that are willing to lay all now and follow him. To get out of the coziness and warmth of their bed and try to rescue that despair soul crying out in the darkness for help. Ask not what am I able to do but what am I willing to let Jesus do through me. Am I willing to sell out, throwing my nets down and follow after his will, his anointing in my life, his plan of salvation for all man kind. Seek out for his direction, his guidance, and his purpose for us.

I John 2: 27 “ But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you ! but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide.”

Let us not compromise or give in to satan tricks but let us with a joyful heart, being full of the Holy Ghost Anointing, give the Proclamation of “The Declaration of Independence”. The resurrecting power of Jesus Christ, To set at liberty them that are captive, To give contentment unto the poor, and life unto them that are dead. To be born again into the righteousness of GOD change from the sinful nature of this world and reconcile back unto the divine nature for which he created man. Let us allow the anointing to be poured out upon us to proclaim the Gospel of Christ Jesus in this lost and dying world.

The anointing

Leviticus 16:32 “ and the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest’s office in his father’s stead.”

I Peter 2:9 “ But ye are a chosen generations, a Royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people: that ye shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

The Holy Spirit of GOD as anointed his people to show the light of the salvation of Jesus Christ through the works of the Holy Spirit in our life. Letting him being made fully manifested in us and us in him showing the full fruits of his Spirit unto all mankind.

1) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel.

2) To preach it to the poor.

A) To evangelize, proclaiming the goodness and mercy of GOD.

B) True salvation is for every one; no matter their condition, no matter their wealth, no matter their race or nationality, no matter their sins in the past, But Jesus Christ was sent for all mankind atonement, a way of escape of the terrors of the evil( darkness ) of this world. He has set a table for all to dine at, even in the presence of our enemies. The price as already been paid for all to eat if they will believe and recognize him as their personal savior.

ISAIAH 55: 1-3 “Ho everyone that thirsteth come ye to the waters, and he who hath no money.”

3) He hath has sent me to heal the brokenhearted

A) Know matter their sins or conditions, GOD loves them and sent his only begotten son for them.

B) Not casting them out or refusing them, but wanting to heal their grief, putting a new robe of righteousness upon them. Putting shoes upon their feet so they can go on through life, through heartaches and disappointments having the blessed hope of one day of having eternal life with our blessed creator, where all tears will be gone, no more heartaches but fullness of joy, and pleasures for ever more.

C) Remembering that many times one who is broken will lash out at you. But Jesus and the anointing of GOD wants us not to turn from them but to have compassion and pray for mercy for their souls.

D) Many people state “well they brought this upon themselves” But we must remember Romans 5:8 “ But GOD commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

E) We need to feel the cries of the mothers who son was killed because of drugs.

F) We need to feel the anguish of the father who lost their daughters to prositution and died of aides.

G) We need to have the anointing of the Spirit of GOD upon us, to show them the love and Grace of GOD. Who is able to mend all broken hearts and revive their souls into his blessed fellowship, He will carry their burdens and lift the load of heaviness of such great sorrow and lost.

4) To preach deliverance to the captives:

A) No longer do they have to be bound to alcohol and drugs

B) No longer do they have to be bound too homosexually and lesbians.

C) No longer do they have to feel that there is no way they can raise a child and there is no hope or away out but abortion.

D) No longer do they have to be possessed with anger that drives their very inner soul into the depths of hell.

E) No longer do they have to be damned to sin and death but can be set free from the chains that bind them, Liberated from satan torments

John 8:36 “ If the son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

5) Recovering of sight to the blind.

A) On the way to Emmaneus Jesus walk beside them, talking to them. He did not grab them by their arms and try and lead them or pull them but gently through love, abode with them answering their doubts and fears concerning the things around them they did not or could not see. Even though they were with him and heard his teaching seeing all the things he was able to do. Their eyes became blinded by the circumstances around them.

B) Jesus cries out to them not hateful but full of love saying. “ O fools, and slow of hearts to believe all that the Prophets have to say. Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter in to Glory.

C) Their hearts burn with in them and as they came to the end of their journey. Jesus made as though he would go further but they constrained him to stay crying out “ abide with us”.

Luke 24: 30 “ and it came to pass, as he set at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it and brake it, and gave to them”

Luke 24: 31 “ And their eyes were open.”

D) He could had been fustrated or disappointed in them. Saying you of no faith for I dwelt with you and you saw the miracles around me. He could have been like so many of the Church, Well where are they and just continue with out reaching to out to open theirs eyes to all that Christ has done for them. So many times some will condemn them for their lack of seeing and cast them out. When that is when they need the most for us to stride with them, helping them remember they things GOD has done for them, and that we must continue on through the hard times as well as the good. For he said I will never leave you or forsake you.

6) To set at liberty them that are bruised:

A) Them that are offended-hurt-Spiritually ill through hurtful emotions.

Proverbs 18:19 “ a brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city.

B) A deep bruise takes a long time to heal, even with you can not physically see the bruise it hurts with you touch it.

C) The anointing of GOD is upon us to free the pain of such bruises through the love of GOD that he has show through us, if we will allow him to do so in us.

Romans 14: 15-19

D) They may still be on milk do not cast them out because you are on meat and they are on milk. Let not not your good be evil spoken of. Do not devour one another through different measures of faith.
