Revival IS STILL Possible
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Ps. 85:6 (KJV)
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. Ps. 138:7 (KJV)
History of our Church.
1. How it was started. [I never get tired of telling the story. - physically 23 yrs. ago](NEW part NOW!!!)
(Encourage all of those who have poured themselves into the work.)
2. Why it was started. [spiritually starved to see God glorified]
3. The “church” has settled for a lot less than what I am convinced God has promised.
4. I still believe that it is possible to have the kind of revival that my heart cries for.
I believe it because ..... (Reasons)
1- God Is Still On The Throne And He Has Not Changed!
1. Mark it in your book, God is Still on the Throne!!!
2. He has not changed!!! (Father or Son)
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 (KJV)
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb. 13:8 (KJV)
2- The Holy Spirit Is Still In The World.
7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Jn. 16:7-8 (KJV)
1. He said "in the Last Days I will pour out my spirit..." (Acts 2:17, 21)
2. These are those "days" !!!!
3. He is still moving to reprove [convict] of sin.
4. He is still moving to teach men righteousness.
5. He is still moving to judge ungodliness.
6. God by His Spirit is still striving with man!!! [me and you!]
3- The Word Of God Is Still "Quick, Powerful & Sharp." (Heb. 4:12)
1. "quick" = living,
2. "powerful" = active.
3. "sharper" = it is still able to probe the very heart of man!!
4. Like a Fire. (Jer. 5:14, 23:29)
5. The Word is still as powerful in Our World as it was then!!!
4- The Gospel Is Still "The Power Of God Unto Salvation." (Rom.1:16)
1. "Faith comes by hearing....." (Rom. 10:17)
2. "Go into all the world and preach .. Gospel to every creature." (Mk. 16:15)
3. We must be personally involved in preaching the gospel!
4. We must have revival if we are to win our world!!!!!
If we would see Real Revival we must....
1.) Prepare by tarrying for Holy Spirit power!
2.) Prevail in Prayer until blessings flow!
3.) Share the Gospel with a lost world!
4.) Persevere in Faith!
5.) Practice Holiness in our daily lives!!!
