Southern California has become a dead dry graveyard, a valley of dead dry bones,
A place where once the spirit of god was so mightily present it was likened to a blazing forest fire out of control …
This area which once housed the greatest revival of the past few centuries has lost it’s its fire, its passion to serve the Lord.
It was a blaze that’s flame could be seen around the world
Now the churches smolder with the burnt embers of past glory and tradition..
Sitting on the porch of indifference, and in their rocking chairs of past glory
The churches in this Nation today have become status quo institutions where as long as we don’t upset the apple cart we will survive.
Never chancing to press into the Spirit of God, looking for a new revelation or even more…. a new revival.
A revival where the Spirit of God would fall and people could be healed with the passing of a man ministering this word on the street
Sounds crazy … sounds out of the ordinary, Things of God are not ordinary they are supernatural and mysterious
Acts 5: 14 - 16
14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
The churches in this Nation today which were once houses of prayer have become centers of entertainment.
There was a day when people would travel for hundreds let alone thousands of miles to see a move of God in an area.
Today …If a preacher doesn’t amuse or tickle the congregation enough the people squawk and start to complain…. Where is the show preacher ?
In 1906 in a small place not far from where we are now…
The focal point of the early Pentecostal revival which began in 1906 ….. It was right here in Los Angeles, California. On Azusa Street
Whole movements were birthed from this revival…. Seeds of great churches and organizations were pioneered in that day from these faithful souls
These people were different… they we ushering in a new dispensation one of faith and commitment,
A day where the spirit of God would fall and thousands would be saved and healed at a time
I just got a report 2 days ago that meetings in the Philippines drew over 2 million to a revival site where the Spirit of the Lord was ministering
2 million and in this country we can’t get them into at least a church on a Sunday.
Why because they have Lives and things to do…. Things more important then God
Where is this countries Commitment, ?? I guess not to Him
In that day they were unpopular and look insane to the world
Kind of like Gideon’s army to the world in that day, Foolish and not what we think would be best to do Battle.
But it’s not how we think…. but how the LORD SEES it.
1 Corinthians 1:27
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
The fire of the Holy Ghost broke out into the streets of this nation in that day people were touched healed and a land was set ablaze.
This city could not contain it …. And the newspapers could not explain it.. Search out the 1906 Azusa Street revival you might be very surprised.
So what happened? What changed? … People, is the answer…
Where once the people were praying and seeking the face of our Lord Putting Him first…
Pressing onto the place of the most highs love and tenderness
Petitioning the Father for His Spirit and Power
We have become familiar and lax, negligent in tending to the Fire of the past great revival.
Fanning its flames with prayer and dedication unto the Lord
We have become a society of lazy souls when it comes to the pursuit of the things of GOD.
Living on the past Glories that were deposited so many years ago
Realizing we are running Low on resource and now starting to running a tab for the future with no way to pay for it
What I am saying is that it is Gods mercy and grace is what this nation is running ….on instead of Power which is derived from a God who is petitioned for His Strength
The Power of a holy and sovereign God
I know in our hearts we all want to see revival but don’t know how to call it forth
We want to see the presence of the Lord move mightily in this area and this Nation.
Son of Man… Prophecy the coming of the revival
Call it out from the heart of God
Seek the face Of God for all your needs and situations
Make Him first in your lives
Ezekiel 37 1-5 1 The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" So I answered, "O Lord God, You know." 4 Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ’O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: "Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
If you read on the dead bones came to life
All it took was someone to call them forth and believe.
Not all are going to agree on the way we do things here at Harvest House and that’s Ok. We are not just for them
Not all are going to like the conviction of this ministry
And that’s ok too
However, what we want them to see is Jesus Christ manifested here in this Church
To see a people SOLD OUT for the cause of Christ
A people giving their lives to each other and to their God
A funny thing about caring and loving someone
When you love someone or something …God sews your hearts together person a pet a cause like this church
He Binds you to each other
When you love someone it’s hard to leave them no matter how hard the situation how long the road looks ahead.
If some one says they love you and can walk away easily
I would question their love and commitment to you,
I see longsuffering as a considerable quality which drew me to the cross and to serve God
No matter what……….. he loved me and wouldn’t leave me
That’s how I know
Even where two divorce or separation from a loved one, where love once was… a grieving process takes place.
It is likened as to a death
I feel the Lord is grieved by His church and their separation from Him, Their need to seek pleasure and experiences….their lives first before him
How did the revival die? Why did the cloud of glory move away?
Because, there just wasn’t enough men and women to tend its blaze.
Enough souls representing this area and nation to keep it here on these shores.
I think after 911 people are starting to rethink their positions about God and serving Him
People are starting to turn back to God and away from the things of this world.
My Prayer is that Harvest House will o Lead the Way
I believe God has commissioned this church in this day to this job
Harvest House has been called for this season and the Lord has bound our hearts together…
Will you give yourself to Him and his Church to see the next Great Revival?
Will you give yourself to Him to see the next great out pouring of His Sprit?
It’s up to you today church….. to take the flag of the blood stained banner of our Lord Jesus Christ and lead the way
Or fade into the history books of obscurity
It is our decision today….
