Summary: God is in a covenant relationship with His people that will bring great benefits to us and glory to Himself.

GOD’S GUARANTEE FOR YOUR SUCCESS

“Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:7-8

God is in a covenant relationship with His people that will bring great benefits to us and glory to Himself. The benefits to us are contingent upon our compliance to our obligations under the covenant agreement.

God’s guarantee of our good success is in proportion to the following:

I. We must be strong and very courageous!

It takes courage to live a godly life in this present world. It requires a dynamic faith to live a life of dedication to the Lord.

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6.

II. We must be devoted to both the will and to the Word of God!

"do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left."

"Then Job replied….My foot has held fast to the path; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food." Job 23:1, 11-12.

III. We must walk in a manner worthy of our calling!

"…that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it."

In Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, he wrote: "I, therefore, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love." Ephesians 4:1-2.

IV. The promised result from comes from our compliance!

"…for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

"….And let them say continually, "The Lord be magnified, Who delights in the prosperity of His servant." Psalm 35:27b.
