UNTROUBLED HEARTS

John 14:1-7

I. Believe in God the Father

A. Believe that God is God – Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

B. Believe that God sees your need - Matthew 10:29-31 "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

C. Believe that God cares about your need - 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you."

D. Believe that God loves you. – Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

E. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more! There is nothing you can do to make God love you less! His love is unconditional, impartial, everlasting, infinite, perfect!

II. Believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ

A. Believe that as the Truth Christ is the expression of God’s Love – 1 John 4:10 "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (John 3:16)

B. Believe that as the Way Christ is the means of our Redemption - 1 John 5:11-12 "And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life."

C. Believe that as the Life Christ is the source our Immortality – John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

D. Christ has replaced the dark door of death with the shining gate of life.

III. Believe in God’s Eternal Home, a Prepared Place

A. Believe in the reality of a heavenly home – 1 Corinthians 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him."

B. Believe in the reality of a heavenly reunion – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

C. Earth is the land of the dying; heaven is the land of the living.

D. Heaven is a place prepared for those who are prepared for it. Are you prepared? Have you established your relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ?
