Introduction:
1. As we conclude this series, we want to look at a 4th aspect of serving God.
2. We have studied serving God with effectiveness, endurance, and focus. Today we will study serving God with purpose.
3. Rick Warren has sold millions of copies of his books ¡§Purpose Driven Church¡¨ and ¡§Purpose Driven Life¡¨.
4. Just going through the motions is not enough.
5. God created us with a purpose and will need to show that through how and why we serve God.

Presence Of Sin
2 Timothy 3:1-9
1. We live in a world that is immersed in sin.
2. All have sinned and the wages of sin is eternal death.
3. We were dead in our sins, but made alive through the blood of Jesus.
4. Christians must be urgent about sharing the Gospel of Jesus.
5. Serve with the purpose of evangelism.

Power Of Scripture
2 Timothy 3:14-4:5
1. Look at what Scripture does:
„^ ¡§Makes us wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.¡¨
„^ Teaches.
„^ Rebukes.
„^ Corrects.
„^ Trains in righteousness.
„^ Equips God¡¦s children for every good work.
2. Scripture is God breathed. The writers were given the Scripture from the Holy Spirit. The Bible is inerrant.
3. Look at how the Word is to be handled:
„^ Preach it at all times.
„^ Let it do its job.
„^ Don¡¦t ¡§sugar coat¡¨ the Bible.
„^ Preach it like it is. Don¡¦t add or subtract anything.
4. Many don¡¦t like the truth of the Word because it requires that we change our old ways.
5. Serve God with the purpose of obedience to the Word.

Persistence Of The Saints
2 Timothy 3:10-13; 4:6-8
1. In order to serve God with purpose you must focus on finishing the race strong.
2. Notice that this is personal.
3. If each of us will serve God with all we have, and keep going when things get tough; God¡¦s purpose will be fulfilled.
4. Those who serve God like there is not tomorrow and strive to live like Christ daily will be rewarded with crowns in Heaven.
5. Serve God with the purpose of victorious Christian living and endurance.
Conclusion:
1. The end of this old world is quickly coming.
2. If Christ returned today, how would Christ find you?
3. If you died today, where would your final destination be?
4. Serve God with all you have.
5. Serve God with a purpose.
