OUTLINE

INTRODUCTION

1. When Jesus comes!

2. If Jesus does not come

3. COME, Lord Jesus

Introduction

Much has been said about the coming back of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This was foretold

a. by the Prophets, Dan.7: 13-14, Jude 14;

b. by Jesus himself, Mt. 25: 31, Jh. 14:3;

c. by the Apostles, Ac. 3:20, 1Tim. 6:14, and

d. by the Angels, Ac. 1:10-11

 If there is any coming event that is as sure as God lives, it is that issue of the return of the Lord.

 If there is any event that is as sure as the Word of God, it is that Jesus is coming back again.

 If there is however any coming event that the world will prefer not to be mentioned, it is this impending or imminent appearing of our Lord and Master.

 If there is any hope of the Christian, if there is any aspiration or expectation of the Christian that must be cut off, it is beholding the Savior’s face.

 If there is a day when the Christian will be all he has been longing for, it is the day of His appearing.

I do think that many of us are not longing for the coming of the Lord because we do not know what awaits us at His coming. A college graduate will long for his or her graduation day because it’s always glorious to graduate. He will prepare well and look forward to it. Much more should be our expectations when Jesus comes.

SONG: KEEP ON THE FIRING LINE

When we get to heaven, brother we’ll be glad

Keep on the firing line

When we praise the Savior for the call we had

Keep on the firing line

When we see the souls we have helped to win

Those we led to Jesus from the paths of sin

With a shout of “WELCOME” we will all march in

So, Keep on the firing line.

Chorus:

Oh! You must fight, be brave against all evil

Never run, nor ever lag behind;

If you’ll will win for God and the right

You better Keep on the firing line.
