Summary: A different Look at Noah and the things that couldnt float on the Arc.

Things that float, a different look at Noah and the flood. I read an article the other day that just stuck with me. A man was talking about things that float and things that don’t. As I considered what he said, I started to think about the truth behind it. Jesus said, “As it was in Noah’s days, so shall it be in the day of the second coming of the Son of Man.” In the days of the flood, we know what floated, The Arc, animals two by two, Noah, His wife and Noah’s Sons and their wives. There were food, provisions for all the animals, even an Alter for Noah to worship God, fire, wood and Faith. Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord and eight souls were saved by the water. They were on a trip into history and to coin a phrase from the Star Trek Movies, “To seek out new life, new civilizations, to go where no man has gone before.” Now we know why everything on the arc floated, even scientist today, try to discredit the account, saying that the number of species of animals would have been too great for Noah and the Arc to handle, they say the arc would have sunk. But they forgot that God designed the Arc and it was just fine. Remember, those that think in the carnal, cannot fathom the spiritual. Now to find out what didn’t float, we have to look before God closed the door on the arc, Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. We find that the things that are in progress today are the same things that were happening then. In verse 6; 13 we find the cause of Gods anger. Man, man was the source of sin and unrighteousness, as it is today, violence is always on mans mind, weather it be wars, for gain or politics. Why did God declare that not only would He destroy man but also the earth with man? Because man had contaminated what God had made Good. Many people use only the phrase, and Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, but what about righteousness? Didn’t God find righteousness in Noah? Verse 7; 1 tells use that God found righteousness in one generation on the earth, and it was with Noah’s generation and his children. This is not to imply that there was not sin present in this generation but that righteousness, which God finds of great value, was also present with them. So you can now understand that the rest of the populations of the earth were all-unrighteous. Understand it was not that the world was sinful in nature, for we still are, but it was the lack of righteousness that destroyed them. All manner of evil, marring and giving in marriage, homosexuality, liars, thieves, murderers, covetness, sorcery, you name it and it was there. Then why did God destroy the earth and its population, for one reasons to begin with, the greatness of the unrighteousness? Number two; God had not made a covenant with Adam to preserve the earth. A covenant is a binding proclamation between two parties. The first covenant God made was with Noah. The last was with The New testament, {Covenant} or us. The things that didn’t float in Noah’s time are the same things that are weighing this world down today. Sin continued on after the flood because sin is in mans nature ever sence Adam and Eve. The sin of this world is great but the unrighteousness is greater, and it grows every day. Man has gotten to the point that he no longer tries to find the best way to live but the easiest way. Being sinful is easier than being righteous. Righteousness takes an effort. Need proof? Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Paul tells us to go on to perfection, meaning that an effort must be made to attain what God desires of us. This world today has left its first love and has decided to go its own way, laying building material on a foundation that will fall. Knowing the evil of Noah’s days and the state of the world today, what would make people believe, that this world is any better than then? The imagination of men today for evil is greater now than it was in the days of Noah. The things that didn’t float on the Arc then, will not float now. Noah tried to get the people to turn around; he tried to get them to a point that they would float, but to no avail. Jesus being greater than Noah, is trying to get mankind to turn around and be fire resistant, He has the Cloak of Righteousness that will keep the fire away, but as in Noah’s times, who will head and hear His report of a great fire that is coming upon this earth to wipe out sin and unrighteousness forever? Will you be ready, will you accept the guarantee of protection, and will you accept the new covenant of life everlasting? Time is running out and the things that wouldn’t float in Noah’s days are the same things that will burn in these end days. Ars.
