Summary: Truths from which we must must be moved. Sin is sin;heaven to gain and hell to avoid;there is a rapture ahead.

3 IMPORTANT TRUTHS FROM WHICH YOU MUST NOT BE MOVED

May 2, 2004 am

1. SIN IS SIN IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE AND ANY SIN THAT REMAINS IN YOUR LIFE WILL SEPARATE YOU FROM GOD BOTH NOW AND ETERNALLY

(John 8:34 KJV) Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

(John 8:35 KJV) And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

(Rom 5:12 KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

(Rom 6:1 KJV) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

(Rom 6:2 KJV) God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

(Rom 6:12 KJV) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

(Rom 6:13 KJV) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

(Rom 6:14 KJV) For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

(Rom 6:23 KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(Heb 12:1 KJV) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

THE REAL SIN IS DOING WHAT WE WANT TO DO RATHER THAN ALLOWING JESUS CHRIST TO BE LORD OF OUR LIVES.

(James 1:14 NIV) but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

(James 1:15 NIV) Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

IT IS A SIN TO NOT CONSIDER HIS LORSHIP WHEN YOU:

DRESS,

THINK

GO

SPEAK

RELATE

ATTITUDE

(James 4:17 KJV) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

IF THE LORD SAYS DO IT AND YOU DON’T IT IS SIN

IF THE LORD SAYS DON’T AND YOU DO—IT IS SIN

IF SIN IS NOT A BIG DEAL—JESUS SUFFERED AND DIED FOR NOTHING

(1 John 1:7 KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

(1 John 1:8 KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

(1 John 1:9 KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

(1 John 1:10 KJV) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

(1 John 2:1 KJV) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

(1 John 2:2 KJV) And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

SIN IS A BIG DEAL BECAUSE IT PRODUCES DEATH PRESENT SPIRITUAL DEATH AND FINALLY ETERNAL DEATH IN HELL.

2. THERE IS A HEAVEN TO GAIN AND A HELL TO AVOID

HELL:

(Mat 5:22 KJV) But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

(Mat 5:29 KJV) And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

(Mat 10:28 KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

(2 Pet 2:4 NIV) For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;

(2 Pet 2:9 KJV) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

HEAVEN: THE BIBLE DECLARES THERE IS A HEAVEN

(Rev 19:1 KJV) And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

(1 Pet 3:21 KJV) The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

(1 Pet 3:22 KJV) Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

IF WE ARE GOING TO BELIEVE ANY OF THE BIBLE WE NEED TO BELIEVE IT ALL--

3. THERE IS A RAPTURE AHEAD—AND YOU NEED TO BE READY

(1 Cor 15:51 KJV) Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

(1 Cor 15:52 KJV) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

(1 Cor 15:53 KJV) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

(1 Cor 15:54 KJV) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

(John 14:1 KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

(John 14:2 KJV) In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

(John 14:3 KJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

(1 Th 4:13 KJV) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

(1 Th 4:14 KJV) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

(1 Th 4:15 KJV) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

THE RAPTURE

(1 Th 4:16 KJV) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

(1 Th 4:17 KJV) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

(1 Th 4:18 KJV) Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

(1 Th 5:1 KJV) But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

(1 Th 5:2 KJV) For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

(1 Th 5:3 KJV) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

(1 Th 5:4 KJV) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

(1 Th 5:5 KJV) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

(1 Th 5:6 KJV) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

(1 Th 5:7 KJV) For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

(1 Th 5:8 KJV) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

(1 Th 5:9 KJV) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
