*The Bread of Life*

Scripture: I Timothy 1:12-17 verse

Subject: He Obtained Mercy/ Thank God for Mercy

The writer of I&II Timothy is thee Apostle Paul. And he writes this book to Timothy his great friend, buddy, and really he calls Timothy his son and son in the Gospel. For three main purposes #1 is to encourage Timothy in his Christian life and walk. Because as you know Timothy was a young man, a young minister, and later on Pastor after Paul left him in Ephesus to straighten things out and correct some things. #2 was to warn young Timothy about False teachers and doctrinal error that was on the uprising. # 3 was to teach the qualifications and order of officials in the church. Believer needed to know how to behave in the church. It’s quoted by the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 3:15 verse. That thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the House of God. And I encourage everybody to read I Timothy the 2nd & 3rd chapter. So that you may know for yourself the rules and the guidelines for how you are suppose to dress and act in the House of God as Christians and Saints of God.

Tell somebody down your row “Read the Book”

So as we look further in to this message coming from the 1 chapter of First Timothy Paul says I thank Jesus Christ who has enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, by putting me into the ministry. Listen Jesus Christ puts the true minister in the ministry. This is a critical fact. Paul says that he did not make himself a minister nor did other persons choose him to be a minister. He did not choose the ministry because he thought it would be a good profession nor because people thought he would make a good minister. He was in the ministry for one reason only: Christ Jesus had chosen him and put him into

The ministry. Listen I have to stop right there and serve somebody notice and to tell you that there is a difference in being call and being chosen. See many are call but few are chosen. The reason why is this the chosen ones are chosen because they can take it, that can face it that can bear a lot of things and situations. They are not easy to give up, not easy to throw in the towel they are Fighters, Strivers, and Pressers, they do what it takes to get the job done. Those are the ones that God Chooses. It just like the service many can join up but only the few that are really cut out for the task will be chosen to go to the next level in. And if Christ call and chosen you then that means that he will enable you like he did the Apostle Paul. Listen the word “enabled” means to

Strengthen and give power to. The power of Paul’s ministry came from Christ. Christ

Gave him the strength to minister. Paul’s strength and power to minister did not come

From him

trying to stir up power within himself.

talking about the results and power in his ministry.

{3}

trying to program strength and power into his ministry.

trying to shout power into his preaching.

Christ Himself put Paul into the ministry; therefore Christ Himself strengthened and

Empowered Paul for the ministry. And I stop by to tell you that this is how you know that you are called because Christ will Choose you and not only choose you but he will

Enable you with Power and Authority and Anointing and he will Strengthened you so that you may be able to carry out your Task. Listen No person has the power to do spiritual warfare; no person can penetrate the spirits of other people. If we are to minister to people, then we must be empowered by Christ, for only Christ can penetrate the spirits of people. Therefore, we must possess the power of Christ. And we as Saints of God are to be glad that God has chosen us to delivery his Gospel, which is good news to a dying world, and how he looks beyond our faults and still have need of us.

Hifi your neighbor and tell em “You Have to be Enable by Jesus Christ”

The next thing Paul says is that Christ Jesus counted him faithful. Listen not only is it wonderful to know that God has chosen us but it also wonderful to know that he counts us Faithful. This is a most wonderful thought, that Christ would count us trustworthy. He trusts us to be faithful, and in the final analysis, He knows that we will be faithful to Him. This is one of the reasons He chooses and puts us in the ministry. And I stop by to tell somebody that God still counts you faithful. So what you mess up, So what you may have given up for a seasons God told me to tell you that you are the one that he is still calling on and counting on to do my work. God told me to tell that yes I still got my hand on you and I still have anointing you and appointed you, and enable you to do the task. And if you would just be faithful over a few things as I am counting on you to be then will I make you ruler over many.

Hifi 8 people and tell em “He Counted me Faithful”

I was a mess- But he Counted me Faithful

{4}

I was a wrenched undone- But he counted me Faithful

I was a Mess Starter-But he counted me Faithful

I ‘am not worthy-But he counted me Faithful

I’m not all that-But he counted me Faithful

I’m not in the top ten- But he counted me Faithful

I’m was a Back Stabber-But he counted me Faithful

It’s like the songs that says how many times do I go against your will then you forgive me, but yet I still turn around and do the thing, the thing I shouldn’t do cuz I belong to you and I know you will come through. Lord I know that I take advantage of your grace here in this Christian race. OH Lord I’ve sinned but you still calling my name.

Listen a man by the name of William Barclay has an excellent message for us as we deal with situations he says and I quote:

“It was to Paul an amazing thing, that he, the arch-persecutor, had

been chosen as the missionary and the pioneer of Christ. It was not only that Jesus Christ had forgiven him; it was that Christ had trusted him. Sometimes in human affairs we forgive a man who has committed some mistake or who has been guilty of some sin, but we make it very clear that his past makes it impossible for us to trust him again with any responsibility. But Christ had not only forgiven Paul, He had entrusted him with His work to do. The man who had been the persecutor of Christ had been made the ambassador of Christ” (The Letters to Timothy, Titus, and Philemon, p.48).

That’s why Paul said I thank Jesus Christ for counting me faithful because I was some of everything but he forgave me. Listen let talk about The Apostle Paul for a few moments. As you know Paul original name was Saul. In Acts the 7th chapter beginning at the 54th verse. You will find out that there was a man by the name of Stephen. And Stephen had a message for the people of Israel giving them God’s final invitation for them to turn unto him and receive him and receive his son Jesus or else he will spread his Gospel somewhere else and rooted a great army of vessels to serve him. This message upseted the Jewish leaders and they took him and drug him through the city and stone him for that word from the Lord. And Saul was pleased with the Death of Stephen. Listen Saul was a cold-hearted man, a man of no

{5}

remorse. If you would read also in Acts the 1: 8 verse it will tell that Saul made havoc of the church the word havoc in the Greek is {elumaineto} meaning that Saul tried to devastate the church, he tried to destroy it, ruin it, wipe it out. Saul is pictured as a wild beast ravaging and tearing a carcass to pieces. As a matter of fact this verb is a continued action. So in other words Saul was on a rampage, he kept on ravaging and kept on destroying. Saul had gone mad he really had it in for the Body of Christ. It is said that Saul was the most inflamed mad man against the church more than anybody. And after the Stoning of Stephen Saul really launched an attack on the Believer of Christ. Because see in Saul’s mind he did not believe that Jesus was the True Messiah and that he was a threat to his own religion and Christ Believers which he had to do something about it. He storm in every believers home and every Synagogue locking them up and tired to force them to Blaspheme Christ name. The word blaspheme mean that Saul had insulted, reviled, cursed, and railed the name of Christ. And A Persecutor: meaning that he {Saul} had been so angry at Christ that he had set out to wipe the

Lord’s name off the face of the earth. Therefore, he had been set against all

Believers—set upon destroying them all.

ÞInjurious and the Greek word for injurious is (hubristeôs): meaning that Saul was disrespectful; to treat and use others despitefully; to be brutal and violent and to enjoy it; to be in a fiery rage and to inflict it

upon others.

The Bible goes on to say that he sent requested letters to Damascus asking if they would cooperate in him coming to capture and persecute any believers there and bring them back to Jerusalem. But while he was on his way with his plans in full effect he encounters a 1 on 1 experience with God, which change his whole Life. And I stop by to tell you that we all were ignorant of Christ. And we all crictize church folk at one point and time in our life about how they spend so much time at church and gave all they

money to the Church and how we must be crazy doing all that singing and shouting and speaking in tongues that’s not scripture. Yeah we all in here found ourselves with a little Saul in us u til oh one day when we had a Damascus experience. And we had a one on one encounter with God. And

{6}

every since that day our Life has Change. And I come to let you know that once you have a real one on one experience with Christ. I declare that your life will never ever be the same again. And when you really have 1on1 experience with God-You will see things turning around in you Life.

When you really have a 1on1 experience with God-You will see Habits breaking in your Life.

When you really have a 1on1 experience with God-You will see the Chains in your life falling.

When you really have a 1on1 experience with God-You will begin to see a turn around in your Spirit. You will see a turn around in your Finances.

Things you use to do. You’ll find yourself not doing them any more

Places you use to go, you won’t be able to go no more.

The Floors you use to dance on you wont find yourself on that floor no more.

The way you use to dress, you will find your self-dressing different. God will change your Life your Nature, Your Way of Thinking, Your way of Doing Things. He’ll Change your Walk. He’ll Change your Talk, He’ll Change your Song and give you a new Sing. That’s why I like that song that says since he came into my Life what a wonderful change has come over me. I look at my hands and they look new. Look at my feet and they did too. Since he came into my life what a wonderful change. Tell 8 people “It’s Wonderful”

He’s a wonder in my soul. Oh he’s done wonderful, My Lord done Marvelous, great things. I got to move on but tell somebody I dare you to have a one on one experience with Christ. Now only those who really has had a real spirit encounter with God stand with me on your feet and lets give God a 15 second Praise.

The Apostle Paul says let this be a faithful saying that Christ cam to saved sinners of whom I was Chief. I was the Master of Sinner. Sin was my First, Middle, and Last name. But I obtained Mercy. In spite of had bad I was in spite of all my mischief that I’ve started in spite of all the damage I’ve done in spite of all the Blasphemy and Persecuting I’ve done God had Mercy on my Soul. The word obtained means to get possession of, esp. by some effort; procure to be in force or in effect; prevail. Now let me break down Mercy. Mercy: the Greek word for mercy is (eleos) meaning feelings of pity, compassion, affection, and kindness. It is a desire to aid; to tenderly draw unto oneself and to care for. Two things are essential in order to

have mercy: seeing a need and being able to meet that need. God sees our

{7}

need and feels

for us if you would read (Ephes. 2:1-3). You will find out that it’s because of Mercy Therefore, He acts; He has mercy upon us... . Well Reverent how well I’ll tell ya How:

God withholds His judgment.

God provides a way for us to be saved.

Mercy arises from a heart of love: God has mercy upon us because He loves us. His mercy has been demonstrated in two great ways:

God has withheld His judgment from us—withheld it even when we deserve it.

God has provided a way for us to be saved through the Lord Jesus Christ.

When Jesus Christ died, He died for our sins. He took our sins upon Himself and bore the judgment of sin for us. Therefore, if we trust Christ as our Savior, God does not Count sin against us. Instead, He counts the righteousness of Christ for us. We become acceptable to God through the righteousness of Christ. The great mercy of God is...

that He allowed Christ, His very own Son, to die for us. He actually allowed

His own Son to bear the punishment of our sins for us.

that he loves us so much that He will forgive our sins if we will only trust Christ.

This is why we all should be shouting right now because God has had MERCY in full effect over our lives. The Apostle Paul said God was longsuffering in other words he put up with me. And some all you all should really be shouting by right now because God has put up with your mess and is still being a Longsuffering God when it comes to your half stepping self, Half Sanctified Self. You ought o Thank God that he did not give you not 1 more chance not a 2nd chance not a 3rd chance but Another chance. You ought to praise God that his grace period is not most credit cards which may last 31 days or less because by right you ought to pay you bills on time but because of the grace period which gives you time to get it together and you ought to Praise God because it’s because of the Grace Period of God which allow you to Wake up every Morning because by right he should Kill you

He should of let that sickness take you out

{8}

He should of let those Gangs take you out

He could of let you caught that Package while you up and around here bumper everything but Cars. But it’s all because He Loves you and he didn’t want to fall he didn’t come to this world to condemn us but through him we might be Saved. We are bless to have mercy renew day after day morning after morning he gives us new Mercy. It’s good to know that God is Faithful to us. I find my self like David if it had not of been for the Lord who was on my side where would I be, when the enemy had a contract on my life God step in and say no. Because thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. And surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my. Tell somebody you got Goodness and Mercy on your Side.

TELL 8 people “ I Thank God For Mercy”

{9}

God can bring me out of Darkness then surely he can bring anybody out of Darkness. If God can reach way down and pick me up then without doubt he can Reach down and Pick whomever up. How many witness do I have that can testify that I was everything up under the Sun and If God Save and Deliver me surely he Can do anything but Fail.
