Summary: When you help someone up a mountain, you’ll find yourself close to the summit too. This truth is seen in Jesus’ conversation & conversion with the woman at the well.

Introduction

If the truth was known, when we help another we’re really helping ourselves and we are no more like Christ than when we are extending a hand to someone else!

It’s no secret, Jews and Samaritans were historic enemies, however, when we are willing to lay aside our differences and reach out to someone else we can see the end result is worth the effort.

For example, Jesus and the woman at the well. Our story opens as He leaves Judea to avoid trouble with the Pharisees and along the way He once again rescues a wonderfing soul.
