Summary: Three things that Paul goes through in his conversion that should be applied to our lives.

There are three steps that we see Paul go through in the book of Acts that lead to his life changing conversion. We are going to look at those three steps and see how they apply to our lives today.

The first of these steps is .....

1. Seeing (Acts 22:6)

A.) God will reveal him self to you clearly and show you the way

1) They say it was about noon when Paul and the people he traveled with saw the light. The light must have been great for it to be noon and be so bright.

2) Look at how clearly the Lord reveled himself to the people of Israel in Exodus 14:13-16

Exo 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Exo 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Exo 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

Exo 14:16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

B.) Today we can look at the cross, and we have the Word of God in witch Christ reveals himself to us.

The second step that we see Paul go through is .......

2. Hearing (Acts 22:7-10)

A.) we must be ready to listen to what God tells us through his Word.

1.) Look what the Word says about hearing in James 1:19

Jam 1:19 wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

2.) And in Revelation 3:20-22

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

And finally the third step we see Paul go through in his life changing conversion is ......

3. Doing (Acts 22:11-16)

A.)When we hear God tell us what to do we need to get started doing it

1.) James helps to make this very clear and tells us the result of doing what God says James 1:22-25

Jam 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Jam 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

Jam 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

Jam 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

2.) For every action their is an equal or opposite reaction this is seen clearly in God’s Word in the book of Romans

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

B.) After you get started don’t stop and set your mind on doing God’s will continually

1.)Doing God’s will is easy when we understand where our strength lies and we utilize the power therein

Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
