Summary: so many of us sit around and talk about what we cannot not do; and how we can not make it; but you need to know this morning, that Jesus has already made a way for us to make it through any situation we may face.

When we read the Book of John, we find that it is different from the other three Gospel. The first three gospels Matthews, Mark, and Luke are called synoptic gospels. They are called synoptic gospels because they describe many of the same events in the life of Jesus. However, Johns writes about events and discussions not found in the other Gospels. John shows us more of the human side of Jesus and some of the things that He went through so that we could make it through.

In other words, John shows us that Because He lives, we can face tomorrow; John shows us that Because He lives all fear is gone, he lets us know that because He holds the future and life is worth the living. Yes, church, in the Book of John we find that

no matter the problem, no matter the situation, and no matter what we are going through…. Because He went through, we can make it through.

Church so many of us sit around and talk about what we cannot not do; and how we can not make it; but you need to know this morning, that Jesus has already made a way for us to make it through any situation we may face.

Our Scripture lesson tells us that Jesus departed from Judea to go to Galilee, Our text tells us “but He needed to go through Samaria.

You see church; Jesus did not have to go through Samaria; to get to Galilee. However, he was compel to go through Samaria; in other words, He felt a need to go through Samaria because He knew that there was a woman there that was going through something and He needed to go through Samaria so that she could make it through what she was dealing with in life. And church there is somebody in church this morning that are having some of the same issues that this woman had. And I want you to know that because Jesus went through you can make it through.

Let us look at some of the issues this woman was dealing with. First, there were the racial issues. Church here we have Jesus tired from His journey and he sits down at the well and the Scripture says that it was at the sixth hour with is 12 noon Jewish time. And a woman of Samaria came to draw water. In addition, the Scripture goes on to say that Jesus said to her “Give me a drink” And the woman says to Jesus “How is it that you being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus said to her “if you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you “give me a drink you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water”. Church there may be somebody here this morning that is dealing with racial issues on their jobs; but if you know the gift of God and Jesus you know that because He went through you can make it through; for we know that the gift of God is eternal life; and we know that He came so that all may have eternal life; that He has no respecter person. For we know that we Jesus it does not matter if you are black or white male or female, He went through so that we could make it through.

Secondly, this woman had to come to know who Jesus really was. For she said to Him, Sir you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where do You get that living water?

Church like this woman many of us this morning is looking at our situations and sitting right in the church in the midst of an Almighty God and wondering where we are going to get our blessing from; but church Jesus has already done it; He has already made a way for us; all we have to do is ask; Jesus said you have not because you ask not; Jesus said ask and believe and you shall receive; you see just the problem this woman had was she was looking in the natural; Jesus wanted her to see the supernatural. That is the problem in the churches today; we are trying do walk by sight when we should be walking by faith; we do not have to see it; we do not have to understand it; all we have to do is believe it and we shall receive it. Church because Jesus went through we can make it through.

Next, this woman had some issues in her social life that she had to work out. She had had five husbands; and man she was living with was not her husband. She wanted to get living water from Jesus, but her personal life was messed up. Jesus told her to Go, call your husband, and come here. Church so many of us come to church expecting Jesus to just pour out blessing on us; however like this woman we need to get our personal life in order. The Bible tells us that if we bring a offering to alter and have an problem with our brothers that we should leave our offering and go and get things right with our brothers and then come back. Church because He went through we can make it through. Church the Lord tells us that if My people who are called by My name would pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked way, then He would hear from heaven, and forgive our sins and heal our land. Church the problem is so many people want the living water, but do not want to turn from their wicked way; when Jesus went through he showed us what we needed to do in order to make it through.

Not only did this woman have racial and social issues but she also she had to deal with some religious issues for she thought there you had to be in a certain place to worship the Lord. Nevertheless, Jesus told her that it does not matter where you worship as long as you worship in spirit and in truth. Church just as the Lord needed to go through Samaria so that this woman could make it through likewise He went through a lot for you and I can make it through.

Whatever stumbling block you are faced with; just remember Jesus when through it first so that you could make it through. If you are having to deal with rejection by family members, love ones, or a close friend; remember Jesus went through it first; for John 1: 9 tells us that He came to His own and His own did not receive Him. He Understands Rejection – For many of his disciple turned away; they all deserted Him on the might He was arrested and Peter denied even knowing Him. He knows what it is like to have the world turn its back on you. When He hung on the cross He cried out My God, My God why have you forsaken Me. Yes church He endured these things so that He might help us when we face a time of need in our own life. In other words because He went through, we can make it through

Sometime we have to deal with being lied on and talked about, and misunderstood, however we need to remember Jesus went through it first, for the Bible tells us that He was accused of being the devil.

Church if you are having to deal with not having the material things in life; remember Jesus said that foxes have holes; and birds have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. He Understands Poverty And Need Jesus knows what it is like when the ends won’t meet no matter how far you stretch.

Church Jesus went through rejection; being lied on and talked about; He went through poverty so that you and I could make it through these things. Because as He went through; He was making a way for us to get through. Keep my mind clear Holy Ghost.

Turn to your neighbor and say, neighbor, because He went through, I can make it through. Tell them, no matter the problem; no matter the situation; no matter what I am going through, I can make it through.

Church I know we are going to make it because He live. You see church because He lives that is why we can face tomorrow because He lives; life is worth the living because He lives.

I know that we will make though whatever we are going through because one Friday morning they took our Lord and Savior to a hill far away and they put Him on an old rugged cross Isaiah says, He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. You see church, because He went through we can make it through…He died on the cross for your sins and mine…but I am so glad he did not stay dead for they tell me early, early on that Sunday morning while the dew was still on the roses; He got up out of that grave shook off the grave clothes and look death in the eyes and said “O death where is thy sting, O grave where is thy victory; He got up with all power in His hand. Because he went through, we can make it through.
