We have had some great weather recently haven’t we? Praise the Lord for plenty of rain and good weather this year. It has made a real difference in the harvest. I hear that the peanut crop and the cotton crop was wonderful this year.

As churches in the Bethel association we are in a similar business. Our goal is to grow a good harvest! Amen? Do we really want a good harvest of souls? Tonight in the next few hours - I mean minutes - I want to challenge you from the Word of God with 2 vital seeds for a good harvest in your church.

Haggai 2: 19

Is your seed still in the barn? God will not bless us until we plant some seed!

Nothing will happen in our churches like nothing produced fruit in Jerusalem until that day. What day? The day they began to rebuild the temple. Haggai was preaching to the people who returned from exile in Persia.

The first seed that must be planted for a great harvest is

I. The Seed of HOLINESS. 2:12-14

Are we prepared to do whatever it takes to lives holy lives,

Remember that when the unclean touches the clean, what happens is that the clean becomes unclean. Your heart has to be right with God before there is blessing. This is a tremendous principle. Otherwise we block the blessing of God.

Is your seed still in the barn?

The second seed is that must be planted for a great harvest is

II. The Seed of OBEDIENCE 2: 15

Before they began to obey by rebuilding the Temple. they did not have a good harvest.

Read 16-18 -

We can have an increase in Baptisms when we sow the seed of obedience.

We can have an increase in Attendance when we sow the seed of obedience.

We can have an increase in Unity when we sow the seed of obedience.

We can have an increase in Missions when we sow the seed of obedience.

Is your seed still in the barn?

(Psa 126:6 KJV) He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Lets sow some seed tonight.

My fellow messengers if we want to make a difference in our association and in our churches is to stay all prayed up and confessed up and repented up and cleaned up.
