A COLLECTION OF TRUTHS THAT BUILD OUR FAITH

1. GOD HEARS THE CRY OF THE POOR

God hears the cry of the poor . The sighing of the needy moves God to intervene . He does not despise the affliction of the afflicted nor does He hide His face from them . He hears their cry . When we face attacks like furious waves crashing against the wall the Lord is a refuge from the storm for us .

God fights our battles . When we commit our cause to Him He does amazing miracles for us . The Lord frustrates and thwarts the plans of the wicked and renders them unable to carry out their evil designs against us. He is a mighty warrior who will fight our battles . He will hold our right hand and reassure us that He will help us.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES

Job 5:8-16

“But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him.

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside.

The lowly he sets on high, and those who mourn are lifted to safety.

He thwarts the plans of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success.

He catches the wise in their craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are swept away.

Darkness comes upon them in the daytime; at noon they grope as in the night.

He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth; he saves them from the clutches of the powerful.

So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.

Jeremiah 20:11-13

But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.

Lord Almighty, you who examine the righteous and probe the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for to you I have committed my cause.

Sing to the Lord! Give praise to the Lord! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked.

Isaiah 41:10-13

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

“All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.

Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Psalm 102:13

You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.

3. GOD FULFILLS HIS PROMISES

God fulfills His promises . Even if heaven and earth pass away His words will not pass away . All His promises are yes and amen . There is no doubt or uncertainity about their fulfillment .We must be steadfast in our faith that God will fulfill what he has promised us.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES

Numbers 23:19-21

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.

“No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. The Lord their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

II Corinthians 1:20

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God

4. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE HIS MIND

God does not change His mind and purposes . He is not a fickle minded and unreliable person . His gifts and callings are irreversible . No one can stop what God has decided to do. This steadfast nature of God is a strong foundation for our life and faith.

for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.

5. GOD SPEAKS ON OUR BEHALF

God speaks on our behalf . He helps us refute every tongue that rises against us . The Lord Jesus is the one who justifies us and is interceding for us at the right hand of God . We must always remember that we have a heavenly advocate who is pleading for us before the throne of God.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES

Isaiah 54:17

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Romans 8:31-34

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

6. GOD GRANTS US DIVINE WISDOM

God grants us divine wisdom . When we face dangerous situations we can rely on God’s wisdom to help us. He will help us give the right answers when we are brought before authorities . He has promised us wisdom and understanding that our opponents cannot refute. The Holy Spirit Himself will speak through us.

But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,

for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

7. GOD IS GREATER THAN THE ENEMY

God is greater than our enemies. When the enemies of Daniel succeeded in putting Daniel in the Lion’s den they thought they had prevailed over Daniel.Even the King who loved Daniel could not save Daniel. But God was greater than them .He sent His angel and shut the mouth of the Lion so that they could not harm Daniel in any way . Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. God has given us the power to bind and loose in this world . We should use this authority to bind all the works and plans of the enemy and release the blessings and the purposes of God to be fulfilled in our lives.

Daniel answered, “May the king live forever!

My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
