Chosen Vessels: the Keys to Satan’s Destruction
Most people today underestimate the importance of the youth. Most people mixed their immaturity w/ their value. Elders get the full blast of the power of God in a well cushioned pew w/ excellent singers while they stuff the youth in little shacky, run-downed rooms, and old run-downed leaders who preach the same David and Goliath story. The reason why so many youth today are out acting outside the value God has placed upon them is because the body of Christ fails to teach them their importance.
Youth goes through the worst pain than any other adult. As a matter of fact, many adults are messed up because of some terrible pain Satan has caused them as a youth. Just because a person doesn’t pay bills or have gray hair or raise kids doesn’t mean Satan doesn’t put the youth through some issues. I believe the youth goes through more attacks of the enemy because Satan knows he uses the little and foolish things to confound the wise.
I remember watching Finding Nemo and in the beginning of the movie you see Nemo’s Dad (Marlon) and his wife enjoying life. All of a sudden a big fish comes and tries to eat everybody up. The fish ate up everything but failed to eat Nemo while he was still in its egg (or whatever you call them) but the fish left a horrible scratch. Because of that scratch Nemo throughout the whole movie had a disfigured fin…all because of what happened to him in his youth.
No for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame.
And God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated w/ contempt, even the things that are nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are…
(1 Cor 1:27-28)
The things that people believe are insignificant and unable to make a difference are the exact things God chooses to use…which consist of the youth. Satan knows this so he’ll try harder than ever to destroy the youth so he can leave them crippled. Let’s look at the life of a man who was crippled in his youth.
Later on there was a Jewish festival (feast) for which Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Now there is in Jerusalem a pool near the Sheep Gate. This pool in the Hebrew is called Bethesda, having five porches.
In these lay a great number of sick folk-some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed-waiting for the bubbling up of the water.
For an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted.
There was a certain man there who has suffered with a deep-seated and lingering disorder for thirty-eight years.
When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well?[Are you really in earnest about getting well?]
The invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come [into it] myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me.
Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed and walk!
(John 5:1-8)
The scripture lets us know that this man was in pain for thirty eight years. The bible doesn’t say that he was born crippled which mean something happened to him 38 years ago (probably in his youth) that hurted him so much. Most people being in their youth are raped and abused…by their own family, other daddies walk out on them (which leaves you with no identity), or the closet person to your heart leaves and you feel it’s your fault. These are pains that become so deep inside you that your future is crippled. Just like the crippled in the text you’re stuck watching everybody else find that perfect mate, go to a good school, have the most perfect relationship with their parents, getting good jobs, etc. and you try to achieve the same but you feel stuck in the same place.
As I came home for thanksgiving break I was in my little brother’s room just relaxing. My parents had just bought him a hamster. This hamster is just an ordinary pet but what it did blew my mind. The hamster gets on this spinning exercise wheel (which is like a treadmill on wheels) and starts to run. As I’m watching I’m thinking that has to be the silliest thing you can do…because you’re constantly running but never going anywhere. At that moment God spoke to me and said, “Son, what you’re seeing is exactly how people are living their lives today.” People today seem to go through the same thing over and over. It’s amazing that the young girls who were raped of their innocence in the past are the fastest to become pregnant, the young person without a father to give them their identity are the same that try to find it in their boy/girlfriend or gangs. You live your life like a hamster in the wheel or that cripple by the pool…seeing everything else move on but you.
Satan knows of your importance so it’s during this time he wants to hurt you to leave you crippled for the rest of your life. He has a special hate towards women and youth.
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring.
(Gen 3:15a)
Jesus himself filled this prophecy but Satan learned throughout history the power of one youth on fire for God. Moses, David, Jesus, Paul, Joseph, etc. He has a special hatred towards women because of their ability to produce seed. Satan wants to destroy seeds, that’s why abortions are off the roof because each child is potentially the next Martin Luther, Paul, Peter, etc.
Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned infants You have established strength because of Your foes, that You might silence the enemy and the avenger. (Ps 8:2)
Out of your mouths is the strength God is looking for to overcome the enemy! You are chosen vessels of God. Jesus even said that if people do not become like children they will not enter the kingdom of God! You are so precious of God, that is why we are kept under many rules and restrictions. If you had the rarest diamond in the world worth more than anything else in the world, you wouldn’t want it out; tossing it around and wearing it everyday. You’ll keep it in the tightest vault and make sure it can never be touched. Let me make it more clearer, when you get a boyfriend or girlfriend you wouldn’t want him running around and talking and playing w/ everybody. You’ll keep that brother on lock down to make sure he’ll never leave! God deals with us the same way. Because we are chosen vessels of God to destroy the works of the Devil, God puts us under many restrictions and guidance to keep our fragile souls from being broken. That is why when parents divorce or a parent leaves or abuses a child, that child will be broken into pieces. Satan knows he cannot directly attack you because of the special covering we have. So what he has to do is remove the covering so he can attack us directly. One of the many arrows Satan uses to cripple a child is sex.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
(1 Cor. 6:18-20)
Ever been the first & only kid w/ a brand new pair of shoes or a certain style. Then everyone else got the same stuff you got? Or better yet, ever dated a girl or guy that only you dated. But after ya’ll break up she goes out and dates everyone under the moon? The value that you dated her goes down. Who cares if you’ve been w/ her because everyone else dated her as well. Who cares if you was the only one w/ those pair of shoes or certain style because now everyone else has it. You are a chosen vessel. If your Father is a king and you’re His children (which makes you a prince or princess), then why would you do the same thing a dog will do? Dogs have sex everyday, anytime, anywhere, whenever they feel it. You are not a dog but a child of God, a chosen vessel who will be used by God to destroy the works of Satan.
The best way Satan can destroy a child is to get the child to hate himself.
Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will not last or continue to stand.
(Matt. 12:25)
If Satan can get you to hate and destroy yourself then he succeeded in his plan. God is a God of completion and unity. Separation comes from the Devil. The first thing Satan did in the garden was divide Adam and Eve, to break the covering and cause separation. So Satan uses sex as a way for you to destroy yourself and the bible says how he does it.
Or do you not know and realize that when a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? The two, it is written, shall become one flesh
(1 Cor. 6:16)
Understand that according to the realm of the spirit, once you have has sex with a person…the spirit of that person jumps into your body and you become one person. This is called a soul-tie, when two souls are knitted together into one. Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions. So once you have has sex w/ a person, that person thoughts becomes your thoughts, that person emotions become your emotions. During New Year’s Eve I was at my friend’s church. I ran into one of his cousins that I haven’t seen in a little while. She ended up telling me her life story and what she said really hit me. She was never known as a jealous girl. But in her last relationship she dated and had sex w/ a jealous boy. After they broke up, she realized that all of a sudden she is very jealous of every boy she likes and couldn’t understand where all this jealousy came from. Also, the soul tie doesn’t break when you and that person breaks up. It could be 10 years down the road and that person is still in you. Soul-ties are very hurtful. That is why after you break up with somebody that you was very intimate with, you feel like a part of you is missing! Because spiritually that is exactly what happened.
So if Satan can get you sexually active with multiple of people, he can have your soul scattered all over the place! You’ll be so divided against yourself that you’ll eventually break down and have to pay tons of money to seek help for your too-deep pain. Why do you think rape is so hurtful towards women. It is because that rapists mind, will, and emotions got tied up with yours. So you can see why women cannot let go of that incident or will soon marry a rapist or have emotions in them that they cannot explain. Satan uses sex as a way to divide your soul and cause you to hurt yourself.
He who is satiated [with sensual pleasures] loathes and treads underfoot a honeycomb, but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
(Prov. 27:7)
I remember watching waiting to exhale. I really don’t like the movie because it’s very sexual. But in the movie, Angela Basset played a housewife to a very wealthy husband. They were married for 13 years but the husband left her one night to be with a (white) woman [like it made any difference]. He left her and tried to take the money and everything with it. She was very bitter. Her soul was crushed and she felt lower than dirt. Later on in the movie she has a one night stand with a random guy. She told one of her friends and the friend rebuked her for acting so loosely. Angela responded, “I just need to be held…even if it is a lie.” A soul can become so hurt and bitter that even the dirtiest thing will satisfy. Sex outside of marriage is to bring separation and disunity within themselves. Satan wants to scatter the soul as much as he can and destroy God’s chosen vessels.
If you are that person who are soul-tied because Satan has deceived you to having sex to scatter your soul, God wants to wipe away your shame and restore you. Just like Adam and Eve, when we become ashamed we hide behind bushes. We hid ourselves away from God because we’re too ashamed. God’s asking you the same question he has asked Adam…where are you? Jesus took your shame and sins on the cross when he died and 3 days later he rose again form the grave. Just as your sin will die as Jesus did, His glory will raise up in you as he did. You will be set free from your past.
Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
(2 Cor 5:17)
Jesus already won the victory for you! All you have to do is accept it and allow Him to re-make you into the chosen vessel He had created you to be.
