GIVE THE DEVIL WHAT
HE DESERVES
Tonight as believers in Jesus Christ we should
Already know that we are in a battle.
We are fighting a war that’s spiritual
And its happening whether we want it to or
Not!!
And especially in today’s world we have to
Know how to equip ourselves, and how to
Handle ourselves, as we fight this battle!
And we have to learn who we’re fighting!
And we have to learn how to defeat satan!
2nd Corinthians chap 6 says:
by the word of truth, by the power of God
by the armor of righteousness on the
right hand and on the left!!!
We have to remember tonight church
Just exactly where the battle is!!!
ITS IN OUR MINDS!!
The Lord has our hearts and the devil
Fights us in our minds, that’s his playground!
We have to remember that when God comes
In He starts out in our first room called our
Heart but-- He wants every room in
Our Bodies!!!!
And if we fill up tonight with Jesus Christ
The devil has no room to enter in (AMEN)
We have to have enough sense to know that
We have to put on the whole armor of God
We have to make sure everything is fitting
Like it should!!!!
And most important of all
We need to engage the battle and the
Enemy In Prayer!!!!!
Our battle is sin and the devil,
and he begins to attack our mind
And the apostle Paul here is trying to teach us
That the power of the gospel
Has to be applied to our minds!!!
WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WHERE
THE TRUE BATTLE IS!!!
And if we’re gonna truly give the devil
what he deserves and defeat him
And his strategies against us,
We better make sure that were fighting
The battle – Where the battle really is!!!
EPHESIANS 6:10-18
AS CHRISTIANS TONIGHT ITS OUR
DUTY TO GIVE THE DEVIL WHAT
HE DESERVE’S (AMEN)
In the last part of chapter 5 and in chapter 6,
The Apostle Paul is dealing with relationships
Between people, and this is of flesh and blood.
Here Paul shares wisdom as to how we should
Get along with each other!! but then when we
Make it on down to verses 10-12 there’s
A change in the attitude we should have
Its not anything to do with submission, or
love, or getting along,- BUT its about
fighting a war!
And there is a difference
The word is teaching us how to deal with
The devil!!!
All the teaching’s throughout God’s word
Is Love, Love and Love,
BUT
Here were to hate and reject and be in war
Against the devil
And we should have a very strong desire
To DESTROY the devil!!
So obviously Paul is teaching us that we
Are supposed to hate what God hates
Which is The devil and sin!!!!!(AMEN)
And when we begin to understand that
Satan plots against us – and our families
And our churches, and when we begin
To see how he manipulates everyone - and
Not to mention everything against us
Then we’ll understand why we should
Hate him and then we’ll understand
Why we should try to destroy him!!!
We need to keep him right under our feet!!!
Stomp him every chance we get!!!!
We have to understand that the devil
Literally wants to destroy us
And he don’t want to cause you little
Problems
He wants to cause you big problems
He wants to ruin your life
He wants to make you hate God
He wants you to turn your back on God
He wants to weaken you
He wants to tempt you
He wants you to sin to the point that
you’ll end up with him in that
Terrible place called hell!!!!!
And a perfect example of this weakness
Is back in the book of Genesis 3:13 says:
And the Lord God said unto the woman
What is this that thou hast done?
And the woman said, the serpent
Beguiled me (deceived) and I did eat!!!
Then just like today, satan used deceit
To trick eve into disobeying God
And just as he used Eve He’ll use you
Or your friends or your loved ones!!!
And the bottom line is this
The devil knows his destiny and
He wants to destroy as many people as
He can!!!
JUST LIKE WE WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN
AND TAKE EVERYONE WITH US THAT
WE CAN
THE DEVIL WANTS TO TAKE EVERYONE
WITH HIM to hell THAT HE CAN AS WELL!!!!
We have to understand that the devil has a job
To do just like we do!!
We have to keep him from accomplishing
This strategy!
He wants to keep the church from bringing
In new members1
And He wants to stop us form rescuing people
From his grasp!
As Christians its very important that
We stay clear from wrestling from
Flesh and blood.
Our battle ain’t against people!!
Our fight ain’t against the church
But it seems like Christians spend more
Time fighting amongst one another
Than they ever have with the devil!!!
And that’s what the devil just loves!!!
When you and me get into an argument,
The devil is just dying laughing at us!!!
HE LOVES THAT!!!
But when there’s unity and Love, and prayer
He can’t stand that!
When you were living for the devil
He wasn’t fighting with you because he
Had you in his chains all bound up!
But when you gave it to Jesus
That’s when he got ticked off!!!!
Now he knows he has a fight on his
Hands to try to win you back over
To his side!!!
You see
Everytime you have a conflict in
Flesh and blood,
It scores points for the devil!!!
We have to understand where our battle is
And its not against the government
Or some special interest group
Or our local church or our brothers
Or sisters in the church
Or where we work!!!
Our battle is in the spiritual realm!!!
When we avoid being in war against flesh
And blood
And we get focused on our war
Like our reading warned us in
EPHESIANS 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood
But against principalities, against powers
Against the rulers of the darkness of this world
Against spiritual wickedness in high places
We begin to start living this,
And that’s when we start being victorious
In our experience with God!!!!
We’ll be victorious in this battle because
We are children of God and joint heirs
With Jesus
People listen to me tonight
JESUS IS ON OUR SIDE!!!!!
Maybe sometimes we’ll have a hard time
Believing it!
But He is on our side!!!
2nd CONINTH 10:4 says
for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal
but mighty through God to the pulling down
of strong holds
Jesus is far above everyone and everything
and - He’s the one who’s gonna help us
pull down the strong holds
but we have to let Him have control
we can’t do this thing by ourselves!!!
1st John 5:4 says:
for whatsoever is born of God overcometh
the world: and this is the victory that
overcometh the world, even our faith!!
KEEP THE FAITH CHURCH
THAT’S WHAT WE GOTTA DO
TONIGHT!!!!
And ain’t it amazing how some Christians
Will whine about defeat before they
Even get to the battle field??
I’ve heard people say in church
Oh pray for me tonight
I’ve been sick all week
The devil’s been on my back
All week!!!
This attitude don’t come from my God
But I do know where it does come from
HOW BOUT YOU???
Well I think its about time to rebuke
That devil in Jesus’ Name!!!!!
This is where we need to give the devil
What he deserves!!!!
We need to put the whole armor of God
We need all 6 pieces fitting and feeling good
We need the Truth,
The breastplate of Righteousness,
The preparation of the gospel of peace,
The shield of faith,
The helmet of salvation,
And the sword of the Spirit (THE WORD)!!
And we have to learn right now that
We can’t just put on one piece of
Gods Armor
If we fail to put on all of the pieces
Of the armor
We’re just leaving ourselves wide open for
The enemy’s attack!
And satan will attack you
He’s not a nice guy and he won’t hesitate
To kick you when you’re down!!
He’s always looking for your weaknesses
And if you don’t have all your armor On
The devil will slide right on in!!!
And the only time you’ll suffer defeat
Is when you fail to put on the whole armor
Of God!!!!
The pieces of armor can only be put on
By prayer and commitment to God
And we have to take hold of the things
That He has supplied us!!!
We have to stop hiding in the corner and
Allowing the devil to beat up on us
When we have on the armor
And realize who we are in Jesus
We are ready to engage with the devil
And make him run and hide in the
Corner and that’s where we beat up
On him!!!!(AMEN)
Our weapon is for the destruction of the devil
Ain’t that awesome to know that with
The help of the Lord the devil will
Run and hide from us!!!!
When we have on our armor
And we’re walking around with our
Sword in our hand
THE DEVIL DON’T WANT TO
MESS WITH US!!!!!
Maybe we don’t know it but we have
All authority with and through Jesus
Christ to run the devil off!!
We need to keep our two edged sword
Sharp as a razor and ready for ole satan!
Hebrews 4:2 says
For the word of God is quick, and powerful
And sharper than any two-edged sword
Piercing even to the dividing asunder of
Soul and spirit!!
We need to stay prayed up in order to keep
The devil from establishing any fortresses in
Our communities.
And if we keep on our armor
Nothing can pierce it!!! (AMEN)
Some people think that if they live a good
Life and do some good deeds and so forth
That everything will be alright
NEWSFLASH!!!
IT AIN’T GONNA BE ALRIGHT
Not without Jesus living in your heart
Without Jesus satan has you
And you have no armor to battle him with
You have to have a personal relationship
With The Lord!!!!
And by a personal relationship I mean
You have to talk to God.
You men have personal relationships
With your wives
And women also with your husbands
That’s what I’m talking about with God.
I talk to God just like I’m talking to
My wife!!!
And I’m certain He listens better
Than she does!!!
Prayer really does change things
Pray as the Lord leads you!
And you don’t have to always pray in tongues
There’s times to pray with understanding!
God won’t show you something so you’ll worry
About it!
He show’s you things so you’ll pray about them!
REMEMBER WHERE THE BATTLE IS
PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD
AND FIGHT YOUR BATTLE THROUGH PRAYER
