Summary: Is time full In our situation? Are we trying to “force feed” time before God has ordained it to be full? What are the repercussions of moving before God says move? Am I in tune enough with God to know when time is full?

IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME

Intro:

We buy watches and alarm clocks; we even are here tonight because it is time for church

We have heard many people in church talk about the signs of the times…

Today we stand on the crossroads of the destiny of this church.

God’s timing is of the uttermost importance as we move to the next level of ministry for the Kingdom!

In Ecclesiastes 3 we read:

3:1

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

3:2

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3:3

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

3:4

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

3:5

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

3:6

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

3:7

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

3:8

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

What is this thing we call time? Where do we fit as Christians in the scheme of time?

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

2:6

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

E. Jesus was a product of bad circumstances with supernatural signs and that is the way God works!

1 Corinthians1:27

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Joel 3:10

Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

2 Corinthians

12:7

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

12:8

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

12:9

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

12:10

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
