Summary: 8 billion and growing! How did we get so many people?

Quote of the Week

“Darwin calculated that at the rate of one baby elephant per breeding couple every 10 years, starting with a single pair, there would be 15 million elephants in only 500 years.”

It is amazing that while Evolutionists scoff at the Bible saying that the Flood could not have happened in "recent" history and the population be what it is, yet we can have 15 million elephants in only 500 years. Post-flood we had three child bearing couples that could bear at least one child per year. It is not unreasonable to believe that twins or triplets were very common but we will stick with the one and say that each couple only had 10 children though again 12 and more were most likely a common family unit. John Wesley was one of 15 and that is very recent history. Some have had 18 and 21 children in the 19th and 20th centuries and I am sure that will continue in this one. So looking at only 10 times the elephant growth in 500 years we would have 150 million people.

I am not a mathematician, but carry forth the projection to 3500 years from the three couples. If it would not have been for wars, diseases, accidents, murders, suicides, barrenness, birth control, celibacy, abortions, homosexuality, long incarcerations, etc, today’s population might easily be three times what it is today. If man has been here for a million years like evolutionists fantasize the mind boggles at the amount of skeletons we should be finding and what the current size of the population might be.

Even with the great plaques in Europe during the 1300s and the flu epidemic of 1918 we have grown quite well. Add to that the losses in the wars from 1860-2000 alone. What if all the folks of child bearing years had survived those disasters? We thought we had a baby boom after WWII. These people and their offspring would have literally changed the face of the earth. Just think of how many more Jews we would have had today without Hitler’s madness. Indeed, be fruitful and multiply is the only commandment mankind has been fairly good at keeping, but more often than not for all the wrong reasons.

We have the resources to properly feed and care for everyone and more. The problem is greed and utilization not lack of resources. A decade or so back it was calculated that we could give each person in the world one square foot to stand in and everyone would fit within the city limits of Miami. We might have to use some suburbs now but we are not overpopulated. If everyone would practice biblical Christianity no one would be hungry, naked or illiterate. However, man’s politics, false religions and sins create what suffering we see not overpopulation and dwindling resources.

The Bible is true and the numbers we see are the results of three couples repopulating the earth within 3500 years of history depending on where you place the Flood in the approximate 6,000 years of Creation. God gives us credible evidence that His Word is true and that He exists, but we turn a blind eye and worship man and his fantasies instead of our Creator. What fools we are.

Rom 1:18-23

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
