Focus: IV Truths of Being a Victorious Christian

I. Victory above all Is An Attitude:

(The attitude of faith) Philippians 4:13

“There is a little difference in people, but that

little difference makes a big difference. The

little difference is attitude. The big

difference is whether it is positive or

negative.” - Clement Stone

Defines as…an organismic state of readiness to

respond in a characteristic way to a stimulus (as

an object, concept, or situation)

A. It is always on the optimistic side.

“Fear is the path of the dark side.”

- Master Yoda

B. It is always guided by his principles and

objectives.

“I would rather fail in a cause that I know

some day will triumph than to triumph in a

cause that I know some day will fail.” -unknown

II. Victory Begins With A Decision

Illus: An Indian said a black dog lived in his

heart, but when Christ became his Savior

A big white dog came to live in his

heart, and 2 dogs were fighting all the

time. After the meeting someone

approached him and inquired, “which dog

wins, the White one or the black one?”

The Indian replied, “the one I feed the

most.” -copied (unknown author)

Our life is not made by the dreams we dream, but

by the choices or decisions we make.

“The hardest thing in life to learn is which

bridges to cross and which ones to Burn.”

-David Russell

A. We need to rise up spiritually in order to

defeat Satan.

Illus: The story is told of a pilot who, when

flying one day, heard a noise in the

fuselage of his plane. He looked and saw

it was a rat. He knew that the rodent was

not made to withst and high altitudes, so

he soared high in the sky as high as he

could go. After being up in the altitude

for a number of minutes, he landed. He

looked and saw that the rat was dead. The

only way a Christian can defeat his

enemy, Satan, is by rising spiritually in

his Christian Life. -copied (unknown)

B. Always consider God in your everyday

decisions. Proverbs 16:33, Ephesians 5:17

III. Victory Is A Discipline:

A. Discipline is a training that correct and

molds. I Corinthians 9:25.

Shortcomings is inevitable, but can be

corrected and mold it to a different form.

B. Discipline is a control gained by enforcing

obedience or order. I Corinthians 11: 32

C. Discipline is to train or develop by

instruction and exercise especially in

self-control. II Timothy 3:16-17

It takes a disciplined person to manifest

victory, Since our victory is faith and

faith is born of the Word, We must

discipline ourselves to believe the word

regardless of what circumstances say.

IV. Victory Demands Determination

“The difference between the impossible and the

possible lies in a person’s determination.”

-Tommy Losarda

Illus: Three businessmen had adjacent business

in a rectangular building. One man

put a sign, “clearance sale.” Another,

on the other end of the building,

displayed a sign, “year-end sale.” The

man in the middle was in trouble so he

put up a sign, “main entrance.”

faith.

(Immovable)

“He who really wants to do something finds a

way; he who doesn’t finds an excuse.”

door and continues to knock even though

the answer is no. Victory is the spirit

that hears the criticism but keeps on

pressing. -copied

“Our greatest joy is not in never falling

but rising every time we fall.”

-Confucious

C. Victory is not a life without problems.

I Corinthians 10:13

promise. For every problem there is a

promise, Victory is the faith that clings to

the promise until the problem is defeated.

“Victory at all cost, victory in spite of

all terror, victory however long and hard

the road may be; for without victory there

is no survival.”

-Winston Churchill May 13,1940

Conclusion:

We are all victorious as long as we have and

live in the truth. And Satan will do

anything in order to stop that victory in your

life. And its up to you.
