Summary: David deciding to speak words of worship and praise unto God, and about his hardships kept him victories!

I Will! Text: Psalm 34:1-8

Regardless, whether we have knowledge of it our will; our soul meaning, our mind, body and emotions are making declarations unto something. David said, “ I will bless the Lord at all times! When? At all times! Vs.1… His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Why should every child of God praise and boost of their God? Because Father God (Daddy) can do anything!

I. When children are small they actually think their dad can do anything! Defeat, conquer and destroy anything; however, as the child grows he or she sees their dad’s weaknesses. But with Almighty God as true Father, as you grow you realize how great and powerful He is!

A. In I Samuel 21:10-15 David fled from Saul and went to Achiah the King of Gath. The people there knew of David and the song of him. David was caught; he knew he would be executed. Therefore, he pretended madness with saliva falling from his beard. (David knew that the Philistines had a law pertaining to releasing a madman!) So they let David go.

B. I Samuel 22:1 David departs and escapes to the cave of Adullam. His brothers and his father’s entire household went down there to him. Also, around 400 other men who were in distress, in debt and bitter of soul came unto him also.

C. Somewhere at this time David pens the words of Psalm 34! Vs.2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. (The humble and broken-came!)

D. Psalm 40:3 He has put a new song in my mouth- praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

E. The NT call of Psalm 34 is: Ephesians 5:18-21 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation (excess); but be filled with the Spirit, 19). Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. 20). Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 20). Submitting to one another in the fear of God.

F. Psalm 34:3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. The word magnify means “to enlarge.” Listen, your problem isn’t too big; your concept of God is too small!

G. Psalm 35: 28 And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the daylong.

H. 3 reasons why every believer should always make their boost and praise unto God! 1. When we sing and praise it prompts others to do the same. 2. When we praise it becomes a transforming remedy for fear, bringing powerful boldness! 3. As we sing and praise our God, we begin to exercise our faith, invoking deliverance.

I. Psalm 34:4-8 (Read) Why is He so great and worthy? He is first, the last, the beginning and the end. Keeper of creation, Creator of the universe, Manager of all time. He always was, always is, and always will be. The world can’t understand Him; its armies can’t defeat Him; its schools can’t explain Him; its leaders can’t ignore Him. Herod couldn’t kill Him; the Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him. Nero couldn’t crush Him. Hitler couldn’t silence Him. He’s the power of the powerful, The Ancient of Days, the Ruler of rulers, the Leader of leaders. He is Holy, Mighty, and True. His ways are right, His word eternal, and His will unchanging. He is my Redeemer, Savior, Lord and Guide.

J. When I fail, He forgives. When I’m weak, He is strong. When I’m lost, He is the way. When I’m afraid, He is my courage. When I stumble, he steadies me. When I’m broken, He mends me. When I face persecution, He shields me. When I face loss, He provides for me. When I face death, He carries me home. He said it and that settles it. He is on my side. God is in control-it is well with my soul! Amen.

K. In Psalm David writes again, " This is the day that the Lord has made let us be glad and rejoice in it!" Many Theologies agree that David penned this as he and his army of 400 mighty men came out of the cave of Adullam! This is the day!

L. It’s time to put your praise on! I will!, I Will!
