Summary: An appeal to consider hell.

Hell Is Now Waiting

Will You Go Into This Place?

Luke 16:19-31

Hell is a place to be desired if you don’t want and have no desire to go to heaven.

If you have a desire to go to hell: no doubt you also have a desire to spend an eternity in the lake of fire that burns eternally and where you will burn eternally.

Enslaved and bound by sin: sin comes from Satan and one that sins is following and doing the will of Satan and shall receive the reward that Satan receives.

As a lost person you are enslaved and bound by sin: you shall recieve your reward as a sinner - eternal death...eternal torment...an eternal burning...eternal repenting...eternal seeing the joy and comfort of those who have repented.

As a lost person you have your course determined...fixed...set...and your destination assured...hell...second death...white throne judgment...and the lake of fire.

I. MY FRIEND, IF YOU HAVE THOUGHT LITTLE ABOUT HELL I BEG YOU NOW TO THINK ABOUT IT.

A. Think: give much diligent thought. You are prepared now for hell. You are on your way.

B. Are you rejoicing over your decision to go to hell to be in torment eternally?

C. Are you really glad you are on your way going down to the regions of the damned?

D. When you get there can you say you are really glad you made this decision?

E. When you are choking in the fire and smoke your burning enflamed body begins to cry out for water.

II. THERE IS A GREAT AMOUNT OF OPPORTUNITY IN HELL TO REMEMBER THE TIMES YOU HAVE REJECTED JESUS.

A. You will remember turning from the gospel.

B. You will remember lying to God.

C. You will remember refusing the Lamb.

D. Opportunity to see or observe what could have been yours had you accepted God’s free gift of salvation.

E. Opportunity to repent - you will eternally repent of your sin, but alas, it is too late.

F. Opportunity to pay for sin for refusing Jesus; to pay for your rejection of God’s plan of salvation.

G. Consider yourself in hell right now. You are there, you are burning, simmering, scorching, choking, coughing. You are nauseated at your own burning, searing flesh. You are very, very thirsty. There is no water to be had.

H. You are there hearing the cries and screaches of the damned and are you really happy you have the devil for your buddy and all the other wicked who have ever lived?

III. MY FRIEND THERE IS A WAY THAT LEADS OUT OF AND AWAY FROM HELL.

A. It is a blood bought way.

B. It is the way of the cross.

C. It leads home to heaven.

IV. LOST FRIEND JESUS BECKONS NOW WITH OUTSTRETCHED ARMS.

A. He sees you about to make your bed in a demon’s hell.

B. He cries out, "Come unto me and find rest!"

C. Come...without money, without price, just as you are - right now!

D. Don’t linger on the bank and finally fall headlong into the fire. Be saved today...Do not delay. Jesus is waiting.

E. Will you keep Him waiting? Right now say, "Yes, Lord. I’ll be saved."
