THE THREE QUESTIONS OF GOD?

By Ptr. Glenn Narvaez July 10, 2005

1. “Where are you?” Gen. 3.9

This is related to our relationship with God

"But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"" (Gen 3:9 NIV)

He is absent in his meeting with God. Adam was not in his meeting place with God. Adam was not in his place anymore. He left his relationship with God? Previously he enjoyed his relationship with God but he may have been busy with the garden, naming all the animals and enjoying his relationship with his wife Eve.

Becomes Adam was away from God, he feared. Fear comes when you’re out of range.

We maybe busy with many things but do not be too busy that you forget your priority. It is said we may be busy serving in the kingdom but not busy with the King.

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”

Mark 1:35

Jesus secret of success:

1. Very Early – Dawn

2. Still Dark – Determination

3. Got up – Discipline

4. Left the house – Discomfort

5. Went to a solitary place – Disturbance

6. Where he prayed - Devotion

Have you left your first love? Do you still long to read the word of God?

2. “Where is your Brother?” Gen 4.9

Relationship with your fellowmen

Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

Gen. 4:9

Am I my brother’s keeper? Yes, you are!

a. Restore your brother - Galatians 6.1; James 5.20

"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted." (Gal 6:1 NIV)

"Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins." (James 5:20 NIV)

b. Live together in unity – Psalm 133:1

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!" (Psa 133:1 NIV)

Commanded blessings will come,

3. “Where is your wife?” Gen. 18.9

This is related with our relationship with your wife & family.

“Where’s your wife Sarah?”

Gen. 18:9

a. Adam speaks about oneness and unity. Our spouse has a big part in the fulfillment of our calling- Gen. 2:23

“The man said, this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’…”

Gen. 2:23

b. Be considerate and respect your wife – 1 Peter 3.7 1 Peter 3:1-6

1 Pet 3:7: Responsibility for the husband is no less demanding. His assignment is to live with his wife, knowing her needs, recognizing her strengths and weaknesses, and treating her with "honor" (timen, Gk.), a term used to describe the value of a precious stone. Thus, she is to be treasured, reassured, protected, and loved, with every tender provision being made for her. If the husband fails in this mandate, he may find his prayers "hindered." The Greek term may be rendered "cut off."

c. Treat your children right

"And now a word to you fathers. Don’t make your children angry by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction approved by the Lord." (Eph 6:4 NLT)
